General consensus on the Tops Prather War Bowie.

This thread needs pics…

The stripper was a used PWB that i bought and modded. I made the black cross draw sheath for the frst PWB that I bought new. The coyote sheath came with my third PWB that I picked up in LNIB condition off the forum. I cant remember who made it but a quick search of the internet will turn up the maker. It may be azwelke.

I plan on making some wooden handles and a leather sheath for it one day
I love black micarta scales. Something about the grayish-black color speaks to me. My four really good knives are black micarta. I’ve got some epoxy remover, and a crap ton of course and fine grit sand paper. It’s gonna be a fun time with the war Bowie. I’m going to ask for this knife for Xmas. Idk if I’ll receive lol.

I cant remember which knife dealer it was but I remember them saying that the PWB is one of the TOPS models that flys off the shelves as soon as the get them

I found a few places for very reasonable

For the sheath, definitely. Duder’s backed up like the Suez Canal was earlier this year. Might be waiting for the knife too unless you can find a reputable dealer with em in stock.

Damn, it’s all good. I’m gonna mod it before I use it. Not in a huge rush, got my Ratweiler to keep me entertained.

This is for you man, finally got around to redoing my 1911 from this mismatched mess:
Now, it’s a more traditional, western inspired “sleeper”:

All parts except for frame, slide, barrel, guide rod, slide stop and thumb safety and sights and mainspring housing are new. Real American Elk Stags and authentic WW2 Colt grip safety. RIA high polish nickel GI hammer. All internal pins and most parts are from Wilson’s “bulletproof” series. Tell me what you think?

Outstanding! Love the grips and new hammer and thumb safety. WC bulletproof stuff has seen their way into a lot of my 1911's as well. Good stuff for sure.

That solid trigger looks great too.

Great job - now get out there and put some .45" holes in stuff!
Thanks! I figured you’d appreciate it, as your a fan of beautiful clean 1911’s as well. I can’t wait to shoot it, probably won’t get around to it till after the holidays. Gotta shoot the Colt Python I got back in June also.

You guys have fine taste in firearms and knives. These are the 1911’s I carry. 2 lightweight S&W Comander 1911 PD’s .45acp of course. Flat mainspring housings with rounded corners View attachment 1701209View attachment 1701211
2 Rugers posted for knife content. Crown Sambar Stag Buck 119. The Rugers have Roosevelt stag grips.
