General Consensus

I just had this happen recently to me on another forum. Someone posted "I'll take it!" on a sale of mine and promptly disappeared. I finally emailed him with my PP instructions and he answers me back 3 days later that I'll have to wait until he has the money "next Monday" (4 days later). Then I gave him another full week before emailing him again to get a message back that he doesn't want it anymore!

Then after i gave him a negative rating, he retaliated by giving me same and saying that my "communication was bad" and I should have prompted him to pay-up quicker!

Seems like it happens too much around here as well. I'd like to see these kind of people banned, or at least have their rating privileges revoked.

It is kinda funny actually because there has been a split amongst those I've shared the story with. A little over half think it is an offer. The others merely think it is an inquiry about price without any implication of intent to actually purchase.

Hmmmmmm, interesting. Now if I ask "What's your best price?" I'm not committing to take whatever price you come back with, but if I offer you $xxx, then I think I am. Guess not everyone sees things like we do. :(

CWL, I'd be PO'ed too if I were you. :thumbdn:

Yeah, to me "Will you take XYZ" implies that whomever is actually offering XYZ and that if I agree, we have an agreement. In my opinion, an "I'll take it" is singular in meaning. If the prospective buyer doesn't follow through, they deserve negative feedback as such.
