Please be aware that there are those among us who deal much less then
honestly in knife transactions. I experienced such a situation with a so called valued member of these forums.
Names could be interpreted as threats, slander and libel so they will not be mentioned at present.
Please take this as a general warning to watch your six!

Place it in the good, bad, and ugly. It sucks when someone does not live up to their end of the deal!!!

I suggest you post this in the feedback section with a specific name.

Exactly; otherwise, when I get the shaft I'm gonna find you and kick you in the giblets for not giving a heads-up. :D

Seriously though; I was astounded by the honesty of several members. I have purchased many knives on the forum and had great experiences. Only one or two were less than completely honest, but still not to the point where I wouldn't buy them a beer anyway.

That's not to say there aren't dishonest people out there. There was one guy who shall remain nameless that I would bet ten dollars to a doughnut is a scammer, but I avoided him and all is well.

I'll watch my 6 - you watch yours. This needs to be in the Good Bad & Ugly or somewhere else.

are you talking about me??

J/K, seriously though I think you need to come right out and say whats up and who it is, as some of us are paranoid enough... I've had a couple good deals here both buying/selling... There's always the exception to lack-of-communication... with that said..

there's also 2 sides to every story..

if you're not going to post details then don't bother posting. also, GBU, not general.

FWIW & IMO, I agree with accumulator3. 8/7/10 was the first bad experience I unfortunately had on the exchange, but that is another story. Vulnerability is a terrible feeling. After having this happen, I was reluctant to buy from the exchange. However since then I did purchase another knife from the exchange, but I did something different. This time I spoke to the seller on the phone. We exchanged numbers and I spoke with him directly. I do however feel that it is important & necessary for all members who have had bad experiences to post details about the situation. Posting details about deals gone wrong could help other members avoid these circumstances and deter irresponsible behavior. Honestly it really sucks reading the GB&U, knowing the frequency exist, and so little is done to discourage it. The GB&U is loaded with stories of deals gone wrong, and it seems like the disease is spreading.

accumulator3,

I can understand wanting to withhold the name if the deal is still going on, and there is a chance of a good resolution, but if the deal is screwed, just say who it is, otherwise your warning is not only meaningless, you are contributing to fellow forum members possibly having problems with this party in the future. If some tries to do biz with this person, and gets screwed, you are partly responsible, particularly where you might have prevented it. Also, all your doing is allowing this guy to get away with what he did to you.

Food for thought....

This post rubs me wrong. You cannot be subjective in here. Grow some hair, post the facts, not a vague "feeling" you are having. If you cannot, leave it alone.

This does nothing but say, "I think someone flicked a booger in the exchange pudding. Be careful to look at each spoonfull before you eat it."

Find or identify the booger, so we can all eat dessert with chunkless pudding.

I have alot of trust in BF, and vague attacks of heresay does not scare me from the pudding.
