Am looking for a gentlemen's folder - one that will function as an EDC in an office environment. Not too large or heavy. Was looking at the Al Mar Falcon and the CRK Mnandi but wonder what others to consider?

I recently bought the Spyderco Caly 3.5 and love it for this (suit/tie office setting). Another option Ive carried is the ZT 0450 in titanium or the new one in carbon fiber.
Good Luck!

If your interested in slip joints check out the traditional knife section. When i hear gentlemans knife i think of a slip joint traditional. GEC, cAse etc. A barlow or toothpick knife. A sod buster. A swiss army single blade.

Seems like a small crk with insingo blade shape would meet your needs. That blade shape looks very functional and people friendly.

Check out the Cold Steel Lucky One. Carbon fiber slip joint with S35VN steel. And for around $60.
Its a pretty nice gentlemans knife considering its from Cold Steel.

Most anything by Victorinox could be considered a 'gentleman's folder'. Just a matter of choosing. The thing about SAK's is they are accepted almost anywhere.

Benchmade 531. Decent steel, thin blade with G10 scales. Great office knife. It weighs next to nothing (2.1 oz.).

A couple of Spydies would fill this role nicely, a Caly 3 cf or a Chaparral.

As others have mentioned, a Victorinox SAK of your choosing would serve you well. IMO, an alox Cadet is a near perfect office EDC for me.

Any of the small Sebenza 21 variants would also work in this role. I'm particularly fond of the small micarta and cf Insingo 21s.

Good luck in your search!!

LionSteel opera in cocobolo, maybe an Alan Davis custom, really depends on your style.

These days I'm inclined to think of traditional slip-joints, such as GEC and Moki, when I think gentlemen-carry. I'll also echo the mentions of Mcusta and William Henry. Of course, you can also go with a small auto, legalities permitting. My Protech Don, though not that small, but very slim and light, has been my go-to "formal" knife for awhile. Perhaps not that office-friendly though....
