Gentlemen's folder

Spyderco sage 1-5 might fit the bill. Another vote for the caly3 as well.

Should be a safe bet with crk too! Very nice knives.

+1 for zt 0450. An excellent edc in the office

Also +1 for small sebenza 21. Haven't had the opportunity to try the insingo version, but my drop point blade is serving me well

Enzo PK70 in either carbon fibre or curly birch. It's got a choice of flat or scandi grinds as well.

If you are interested in CRK, maybe you can have a look at the small insingo.
I have one with micarta inlays and it is the best for "real gentleman" folder I have.
It is a good combination of small blade, people-friendly blade shape and nice looking.

If you are looking for something with some more blade length, the ZT0770CF, Benchmade 940-1 with a silver contego pocket clip for deep carry, ZT0540CF are good options for a "still-affordable" price.

Another knife that could fit this role is the Boker Plus Exkelibur... I have one with cocobolo scales and it is a beautiful knife. Also very lightweight! The blade is 440c. Enough for me!

BTW, it is also much cheaper tan the above suggested options.

I have both the knives you mention (Falcon and Mnandi). They are my go-to knives for being in the office. I think they are perfect if you are looking for a knife you can clip to your pocket, yet be very light and fairly discreet. Both have blades plenty long for anything you will need to cut in an office. The Falcon of course is much less expensive. I would go with your budget first. If money is not an option, then go with the features you want in the knife. The Falcon is a bit larger than the Mnandi. I like the blade shape on the Mnandi better personally. Al Mar makes a knife smaller than the Falcon, but I do not believe it comes with a pocket clip. I can highly recommend either.

When I dress up these days, I carry something with pearl on it myself that has a fingernail file. I'm thinking a vintage Remington Orange blossom in a suede case. In my back pocket I might just have something a bit more substantial, say a Spyderco Caly 3.5 CF without the pocket clip (Just saying you never know when you might have to open a box.......................).

FWIW I have 2 Al Mar Falcons sitting in a drawer with blades worn down into exacto blades (I keep thinking they could have replacement blades put in but that's a project for another time and preferably a knife that's not riveted together), and an Italian made. Lone Wolf Loveless City knife that also saw a lotta pocket time. I do like pointy wharncliiffe blades.

I have an Al Mar Hawk ultralight and love it. I carry it everywhere I go and use it more than any other knife on my person. I'm sure the Falcon would be a great option for you.

If you're interested in traditional slip joints but don't want to foot the bill for some of the higher end brands or are unsure what model to get, you can check out the Rough Rider knives. their not expensive and are pretty durable user knives. Great for testing models you're unsure of.

spyderco air is what I reach for in this situation

I looked at one at Blade. I think I prefer the Kiwi 4 that I already own better for this purpose. But the Air would work. Another to consider is a LionSTEEK Opera. It's about 4" closed, so might be a bit large. But in stag it is quite non-threatening.

The nail nick on the Mnandi is a turn off to me, it's a very beautiful knife though. The Benchmade 482 is a nice little gentlemans folder, but it doesn't have a pocket clip, again a turn off to me. William Henry also has some great looking little folders to check out, some with pocket clips, some without, whatever your preference may be.
