Gentlemen's Traditional Folders -Your Special Event Carry

I don't really have a special Sunday go to meetings knife. I just grab a single blade knife, because it'll carry better in slacks. This Sunday morning it's a Northwoods IRJ, that's also going to help put new heater hoses on the truck when I get home. My Buck 301 would have worked just as well.

Probably this when it comes in.

I have three.

First, this was released by GEC on the day I asked my wife to marry me. I had it in my sporran on the big day the following year too. It's a great size for genteel occasions and is a very elegantly framed knife.

This is a classy and unusual pattern that I also had on my wedding day.

And the third; worn again on my wedding day and every formal occasion there after. A custom made sgian dubh which looks awesome behind my hose and flashes.

I would rotate between several

I found this Robeson in my grandfather's dresser 20 years after his passing. It is a sentimental favorite and goes with me most times when I wear a suit or dressy pants. (The book was also in his library.)

Ismaris, I have the jack version of your grandpa's knife, and mine is a special carry as well.

A single bladed black alox Solo for those black tie soiree's....

:thumbup: I second that emotion! That Solo is very elegant, Al.
(I'm also looking at a Vic Secretary or Pocket Pal as a slim dressy knife.)

I really like my Northwoods Purple Camel Norfolk Whittler for such occasions.

Those are all great knives and you have great reasons to carry them. Im glad to see I am not the only one who has a few that are attached to family events. With two weeks to go you have another big day coming. :) Do you have that carry planned out?

I haven't carried these yet, but plan to start soon. My wife and I started dating on these 73's production date. Still missing the smooth ivory bone non liner lock.

My wife and I brought our daughter home from the hospital on this 06's production date. I plan to only carry it from her birthday till it's production date.

Worthy of a special event - slim mammoth ivory Northwoods Hawthorne jack.

I like carrying something relatively small and light, jacks and pens, and I've got a bunch of choices now. I usually carry one of the #33s though.

That Hampton Norfolk looks perfect, Mike. One of my favorite patterns.
