Gerber has Bear Grylls, we have?

Relax....I'm pretty sure the OP posted this just for fun.

Thanks man. Yes, this is just for fun. I tried to emphasize that in the original post, but I guess that gets diluted a few pages in. I also pointed out that I don't think we NEED a celebrity spokesperson. Just...if we did, who would you like to see?

I believe Ethan Becker is the best spokesman for the product.

But thinking of using an image of a Serviceman or an Outdoors man, how about a legend, Richard Proenneke.

Mr. Alone in the Wilderness himself.

joe izuzu :)

though Ethan IS a it more famous (infamous) than some celebs, imho

This guy is a serious hard core person. Most people do not know who he is but here in Arkansas they play his movie/story on AETN (Education Channel) a couple of times a year and this guy is amazing. Everything he does is handmade and done in such a way it can not even be comprehended by most average humans. I wish God would have let me live his lifestyle because it is awesome.

During fund raisers for the network, public television will air his adventures here in the North East. I like this documentary so much that I bought Alone in the Wilderness DVD's parts one and two.

We would need some George Lucus special effects...he died in like 2003 or abouts.. I agree though he is a man's man if there ever was one.

if teebow was involved Im out LOL

now, Emmitt, or Whitten, or Damarcus Ware, THOSE guys can advertise Beckers!

No tebow knife please. No tebow anything....calenders? Sure, maybe. I'm not sure about the hot model types though..maybe pictures of actual usage. something that the end user could see themself doing in the field. (all though many could probably see themselves doing a hot model too). it's all "Theatre of the Mind". I see Ethan or Anyone building a shelter with a bk2, You may think "hey man, I could do that...all i need is that knife!" of course, you will need a little skill or training, but i see usage as a better marketing tool than seeing a BK9 between some boobs...

Don't get me wrong though. I LOVE me some BOOBs..

I am still leaning towards Batman. I mean imagine it, BK2's being flung at you instead of batarangs. There is nothing in this world that could prepare you for that.

I say super man, he can laser etch every knife with the owners signature!

Are you saying we'll have to hire a Professional Psychic to co-host the live TV spots. :D

Hello; Wardrobe? We're on the set trying to shoot an ad for BK&T and we're having trouble with this Batman utility belt. It's OK for the BK 11, 13, 14, but the others can not fit in the belt. Did Robin wear a Backpack? :D

Chris Reed has a great deal of potential and already lives in TN. He won Top Shot season 2 and has returned several times. His manner is positive and easy going; definitely a fan favorite. He's also a serious outdoorsman. It would be easy to imagine him advertising for Becker or Kabar.

Ted Nuggent....I am not too keen on that liberal Clint Eastwood for a rep for BK&T....Clint is an actor but Ted actually LIVES what he speaks about.

Ethan Becker. He has genuine experience with the things he sells and stands behind his stuff. I hate all those sh!tty marketing scams like "feed my family" "made in the USA" (within reason, I hate it when people say "this is made in america" 100 times in 30 seconds) and especially people who have proper credibility but resort to selling absolute crap to make a quick buck.

Another idea which fits in with the outdoors and cooking.

Johnny Nix: Campfire Cook Extraordinaire

Cooking over a campfire is a lost art, but it isn’t rocket science – at least according to Johnny Nix, who’s drawn hundreds to his fireside with this signature invitation: “Y’all eat yet?”

The folksy Alabama native shares his knowledge of cooking the cowboy way on his newly launched TV show, Cookin’ Outdoors With Johnny Nix, which airs on the Blue Highways cable network four times each week.

Campfire Café

Johnny is already known to people all over the country as the host of Campfire Café, a one-of-a-kind cooking show that aired on the RFD network between 2001 and 2006. Avid riders and campers, Nix and his wife, Wanda, had been perfecting their open-fire cooking skills for some 25 years. Their move into television came about when they met the producer of a show at a trail ride in Missouri.

“She [the producer] parked us up with some people she thought we’d become friends with at the ride,” Nix recalls. “So we got to cooking and having everybody over to eat supper with us. One night we cooked for over 200 people. Everybody loved it. Finally we just ran out of food and had to shut the kitchen down about midnight.”..................
