A couple of weeks ago I broke the blade on my Gerber Gator saw so I figured Id send a pic to customer service and see if theyd replace it. Two days later Donda Burnett from the Gerber team replied saying they would replace it no questions asked!! They didnt care when or where I bought or how I broke it, just said a replacement is on the way. They even inspected my pic close enough to realize I had lost the retaining nut for the blade and are sending me a new one without me even mentioning it. Gerber and Donda Burnett are GTG IMO.

Cheers,
Joey

i have been carrying a GERBER 1643G Serrated E-Z Out DPSF Knife and am glad to know they will be there if i ever need them.

I saw a yellow handled fully serrated version

Are you talking about the EZ Out Rescue? I just ordered one to try out.
I'm actually glad to hear this about customer service. I have a pair of game shears that broke. May send them in.

I have a number of Gerber knives and have always been really happy with them. It is an added bonus to hear about their great customer service. I had the same experience with Ruger, I bought a used 44 Magnum and the "interupter" did work properly which meant that it did not fire everytime. I called Ruger and had it sent back to them. They went through the gun and sent it back in a new box and only charged me the $5 dollar shipping. When I called them and explained to the Rep that I bought the gun used, she told me "It is a Ruger isn't it" and when I said yes she told me " then it is guranteed, and we don't care who owend it". It looks like a brand new gun, they even replaced the sleeve over the shell ejecter.

Got to agree, I had acquired an old fixed blade with serrations across part of the top edge that the previous owner had tried to get rid of. As they were a waste, Gerber reshaped the edge, and ever fixed the loose handle. Got to appreciate that kind of product service.

I got to agree, very good customer service. I sent in an old Gerber Companion and it was fixed and returned in just a couple of weeks.
