Get a R.A.M.....

how am i the only one who doesnt care for the looks of this knife? the mudd looks sweet, but i dont like the ram..... what makes it so special anyways

I'm with ya on the RAM. I had one a couple of years ago, absolutely hated the looks of the knife. Gave it to my nephew, and he didn't like it either so he picked out a Speedbump from the knives I told him to choose from. Took the RAM with me fishing because I couldn't care less if it got fish guts on it, and ended up giving it to the mate. The MUDD is much better, but I've only fondled one at the gun store by me.

The only R.A.M. that I don't have is the 1910CKTST, I have been thinking of getting rid of the 1910 and 1910ST as I like the CKT and red one better than the rest. It is such a fun knife though and I love it...just trying to get some scales for it has been a pain...

I sent him an e-mail but haven't received a response yet (forgot he will be MIA for a bit). I have been talking to Phillip Dobson for some cocobolo scales for my 1910CKT, and thinking of asking Rival to make some carbon fiber scales for my red 1910.

I made the mistake of buying the RAM as my first flipper. Every flipper after that seems like a let down. If you slide the lock back, the blade will swing back and forth like a pendulum.

The lock is very strong and sealed inside the knife so its a very abuse friendly knife... The MUDD is fully sealed so you can use it in anything and nothing will get inside it.

I can confirm this. Went on a trip to havasu falls up at the grand canyon and the mudd was in my pocket the whole.time. went right up to the falls, swam the whole shabang, held up perfect. Too bad they don't make them anymore. Might grab a ram if its similar except for being smaller. Just really like the hawk lock.

Does anyone know the blade length and handle length on the RAM. I have a MUDD....in the pic with the MUDD and the RAM together the RAM looked a lot smaller

than the MUDD.

So I like the R.A.M. what can I say ....

What's with the blank blade on one of the red R.A.M.'s? Factory replacement?

Knotty interesting story behind that RAM look for a thread called "Ram with no markings" or something like that
