Good afternoon---recently had to bring father to live with us here in Mass from Maine. Including the breakdown of his home and possessions.

Found several forms of knives, daggers and the sort that he had collected plus maybe an early runner paintball gun.

Having no clue as to their names, worth or how to let it be known they are available for purchase to peole who would be highly interested.....i am asking for any input about reputable people who may know.

thanks

Welcome, you are in the wrong forum, but they will probably move it to the appropriate forum
i suggest you take pictures of the knives and get a free membership with a photo hosting site like photobucket.
Then post the pictures by copying and pasting the link into this thread
with a description of each knife.
People will chime in if they recognize a knife and could give you more info.
If it turns out you have a valuable collection, don't sell your knives to anyone before you have them appraised by a professional appraiser like Bernard Levine ( his subforum is on here)http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=691
Whatever you do
DO NOT CLEAN YOUR KNIVES WITH ANYTHING, KEEP THEM LIKE THEY ARE NOW!!!!!
An original bowie could loose a lot of value because someone tried to "clean" it with polish or rust remover
