Thought this would be interesting, it's just a thread to get to know each other beyond our user names. General info, age, what you do for living, anything else you want to add.

I'll get it started, I'm Eric, 36 years old, live in Cincinnati, I'm an emergency room nurse, have a beautiful wife and we just had our first child, a lovely 3 month old girl named Annabelle.

Chime in if you want, if not I will feel like a loser but will quickly get over it.

My knames Greg and I'm a knifeaholic. I've been in retail management for the last 20 years. I'm 37 years old, married with a 12 year old daughter, 10 year old son, 6 year old son and a 3 year old (on Saturday) son. My boys also share my knife addiction which is pretty fun for us.

Lol, I think it's safe to say we are all knifeaholics!! Thanks for adding, I've been into knives for a long time too especially as a kid. Got into guns for a while, still like them but they are too freaking expensive these days to acquire. I'm newer to the world of custom and handmade knives. It's only been a few months for me which has completely renewed my addiction. Before that I was into SOG, spyderco, and benchmade mostly.

Hey all! I used to be more active here posting wise but I'm always reading. Nice to meet/see ya.

I'm Hugh. 27. I have a wife and two daughters, Charlotte and Eden (3 & 1). I've been a skydiving instructor for 10 years; I LOVE skydiving and have about 6000 jumps now. I grew up a military brat. Hunting, fishing, rock climbing, snowboarding, kiteboarding, spearfishing, camping, any and everything outdoors really, I also used to work as an EMT. I love Fiddleback knives and I am more of a nurse shark these days instead of a tiger. Still waiting for that perfect one.....

Congrats on the baby girl, Eric!

My wife & I are expecting out third child near the end of May. This will be our first boy, after two girls (6 & 3). I'm 34, and live in Kansas (though I've lived all over the Midwest and southeast). I'm an American Baptist minister, life-long camper/hiker/backpacker/marksman/fisher/outdoorsman, a one-time serious mountain biker, and a relative newbie to the world of hunting.

And I guess technically I've still got my shark training wheels on, as I'm working toward my first FB. 😄

Love my guns...they just got too expensive to shoot, only have to pay to play with a knife once.

I like this thread.

I'm Josiah, 35 years old, a journeyman commercial/industrial electrician from Sacramento California. I have two kids (a boy, age 4 and a girl, age 6) and I married my best friend 10 years ago this June. I worked out of town for most of my son's life and though I made a ton of money, I was a father and husband on the weekend. I came to the conclusion that that's not the man I wanted to be and there's much more to life than a little money. I've taken some time off to connect with my family on a way more personal level. In a nutshell, I'm now a stay at home father. I'm planning on going back to school in the fall to try and land a career that will let me live comfortably and still allow me to spend time with my family (I know, that's asking a lot). In case you haven't guessed, my family is my life.

Joe, that's awesome man! Nothing better than family! I admire your stance. People spend way to much time chasing money all their lives only to find out their treasure was right in front of them the whole time. Good for you!

That's awesome, my wife is pretty tolerant, unless I start getting packages arriving every day or every other day, lol. She is my best friend too, and she listens to me talk about my knives, which is good but also bad because she has figured out which ones are expensive, lol. I've taught her too well!

Cool thread

Nice to meet you Dave, I'm a gym rat too, although I've gotten out of my routine since my little girl arrived. Not complaining though, I'll get back at it, this time with her is way more precious. I live 10 minutes from a nice little river to kayak, I'm out there all the time in the summer.

What's up, Martin, nice to meet you. I worked for AT&T for a while in their data for business sector. I was a project manager, got laid off due to out sourcing. I enjoyed the work. I think my first knife was a victorionox Swiss Army knife like MacGyver had. Either that or a hollow handle Rambo knock off that I broke in a day, not sure, lol.

Cool thread.
I'm a 41yo knife/camping/gun/guitar geek in northern Virginia. I have a great family - been married for 15 years and have 3 awesome kids. I'm a technical recruiter who also plays acoustic gigs at local wineries and (just started) shooting USPSA matches on the weekends.

the best part is she could care less when a new gun makes its way home:p
