getting a virus warning as I log in to BF.

At this point I'm wondering if some of you are getting trigger warnings simply because the site is being identified by google as a possible malware host.

I've disabled third party ads. Yet even when ads were turned off altogether, people were still saying they were getting warnings. Yet if the ads are off altogether and people are getting warnings, it'd mean the site was serving up the viruses and I see zero indication of that anywhere.

Getting this standard warning. Ig I try to ignore and continue, I am stuck in the inability to log in.

I got the same thing from about 2:00 on but everything seems to be fine now. Glad to see the gates are back open. I logged on earlier and saw that I had a message, when I clicked on it I got something about checking virus messages or something and that's where it stayed. Never a dull moment around here. :)

Running a Mac with Safari and it was fine until I logged in. I get a warning for every page visited on BF.

Using tapatalk on android phone log in is hit or miss. Took about ten attempts to get the app to recognize the site. Trying several mobile browsers all report virus. No anti virus installed on phone. So it appears to be the way the site is being posted when doing a web search. Didn't see anyone else trying to use mobile. So I thought I would see. Hope this helps.

See, that's what's weird. If you have a premium membership, you don't have ads. So then you shouldn't be getting banner injected viruses. And yet I'm not seeing any iframe or other similar content being delivered

I´m not getting a warning when I use IE8 , I get an infection , my virus program reacts , and removes it .

Did not log on with IE8 , because the the infection already happened .

Ok, so you people with premium memberships / mods like knarf - are you seeing the warnings after you log in? Or only before you log in?

I am only seeing the warnings at the log in screen.
I do not see the warnings after I log in.

Yup. I just stumbled upon this whole problem, and figured that by the Google warning I was receiving, that I would just avert Google altogether and got in with no problems. It's not the site. Spark just sign into, and use Google's webmaster tools to report the issue and go from there.
BTW -using Safari

I've had a problem all day with my machine running 7 but not with the one running XP. Both are using the latest version of Firefox.

Norton did that yesterday and this morning for me but let me in. It just seemed to trigger something. I ran Norton and Malewarebytes and got nothing but cookies. *shrug*

I'm thinking of deleting Firefox and reinstalling it. Explorer wouldn't let me in either so who knows. On my iPhone now posting.

Spark,

Don't know if it helps any, but I have the site "remember me", so I bypass the log in in page when I visit the site. No warnings or threat notices so far. Being Platunum, no ads for me. IE8 and Norton. Ran Spybot & Malwarebytes last night and today, no negative results/clean system.

I also have "Remember Me" checked off, and I also don't have to log in.

However, I still got the warning message.

Mac OSX 10.6.8, Firefox 8.0.1, NoScript installed. All seems well.

This is the only thing I am getting Spark - this warning simply because google has triggered it.

OK so I am only getting the warning from FireFox, latest version, and I am running Windows 7 Pro and Avast AV. So that must be the Google thing. When I log on with IE 9 I have no warning what so ever. As far as I am concerned there is just a little glitch in the system.

I also use the "remember me" option and didn't run into any warnings until I tried to post something. At this point though the only warnings I'm getting are from Google, not my security software.

Apologies if I am adding something that is already known, I have not read the whole thread. It is definitely a Google advisory. Strange thing is that I tested it on 4 computers. I received the warning on 3 computers but not on the 4th. The 4th has the same software configuration as another that I did get the warning on (Firefox, same AV and Firewall). All 4 have Google Toolbar installed. "Remember Me" is On on all 4.

I will dig deeper to try to identify what is different on the one that did not give the warning.
