Getting frustrated, Can't get GW at store

Point well taken, Kuribo. The fact is, fair pricing promotes fair purchase practices. Obviously, the opposite holds true as well.
OK your the expert, what is the "fair price" for a GW rembering it is a small fixed blade which needs to be properly pricepointed against the compitition?
Then how do you market it against your new compitition, after all you just shrank your customer base by outpricing some, and loosing others since they are always available now more people will comparison shop and go for the cheaper competeters model, albeit an infirior model?
This is just human nature.

Then add in the price of the add men you will need to hire and are you really making more money by selling a at a higher price or are you actually loosing money overall.

I'm done for the night. This dial-up ain't cutting it. I am going to the bar and getting drunker than a skunk.......

Nice! Which GW were you looking for? In my quest for a Tiger, maybe I'll catch your 'prey' too. :D Lemme know!

Dear Santa,

I know that Christmas is over, but all I want in 2007 is one Warden. Is that too much to ask?

Kindly,
A Wardenless Oinker..

I'm really not an expert, Micky. But if I were, I'd probably begin by looking at the prices GW's are selling for on the secondary market. I'd also keep in mind that it's always easier to REDUCE pricing than to INCREASE pricing. And I'd remember that when it comes to blade steel, I'm running a virtual monopoly.

Let me ask you a question. Would you buy a GW if Busse suddenly priced it $25.00 higher than their last price point? How about $50.00 higher? How about $100.00 higher? If raising the price point slowed you down a little, do you think other potential purchasers might step in where they don't have a chance to do so now? And if they did, how would that affect Busse's bottom line?

Yeah I know but I'm personally having a hard time getting a yellow handled one to match my yellow pumps!:D

With this quote, someone needs to post that shot of Jaime superimposed over the body of the stripper.

Ummmm- I think I broke the store....

EDIT: Never mind, the store just broke my browser!!!

All is well, no need to worry, move along, nothing to see here :D

And I won't argue your point about Jerry's profit margin. It's obviously large enough so that he doesn't have to concern himself with such petty details as providing fair and reasonable access to all of his potential customers.

To be sure, this isn't Jerry's doing. Scott/Skunk orders knives from Jerry and then he distributes them from the store. When Jerry sells (in anything other than the Extravaganzaas), anyone may order and the window stays open for months.

I think Jerry's business tactics are revolutionary. He knows just how many knives to produce, and still keeps demand up AND makes it fun and challenging to acquire them...

There was a quote from Les Robertson in one of the trade rags that said he thought Jerry was a genius of marketing, particularly of the internet variety. I think that pretty well sums it up.

Thanks, Rick. I stand corrected. I should have referred to "manufacturer/distributor" rather than to Jerry specifically.
