Getting my shop built on 3/29! YAY!

I still have detail work to do around the outlet boxes (back wall, far left was a boo boo on my part lol, easy fix though). Then get a coat of semigloss contractor grade white on the walls and heavy duty grey porch/floor paint.

I may end up cutting and installing a square louvered vent in the top of the gable in the back or some round vents in the over hangs to let heat out. I'm afraid of doing too much and losing my heat in the winter time.

I'm jealous. I can't wait for the day I get to build out my own shop. Don't get me wrong, I am fortunate to have what I have, but I'd love to be able to set up a shop the way I see fit to my specs. Great job!

Thanks Nathan, I wish I had the room you've got! But, all in all, 10x12 is going to be just right I think.

Looks good. You can never have enough outlets!

Are you going to build benches or buy them?

Build for sure. The old house that I moved out of was bought by the state for a new road coming through. I still have the door keys and inside are 3 36" wide, flush, solid core doors. I'm going to go snag them off the hinges and use them for nice, smooth, heavy bench tops. I had some 12' treated 4x4s in my old garage that came too that will make the legs. Other various lumber I get a 10% discount on from Lowe's.

I was thinking about putting a bench in the back for my drill press, grinders, and all that. Then, in the front section on one of the side walls, I would maybe like a "finish" bench for doing leather work and what not. Kind of isolate it from the dirty area a bit.

Not fully sure what my plans are, they'll come to me as I start planning :)
