GiantMouse GM6 Integral from China

Yeah I was thinking it might be small due to photos but was hoping for a 3.4” blade.

Oh well, it made it an easy decision for me to not get one.

Well....there goes my wishful thinking...

Love the Sonoma and there's every reason to believe this model will exhibit the same high quality. However I have to agree with others about the short blade; it would have been awesome if it were closer to 3.5".

Im with you, I like the design and blade, made in china is not a problem as long as its great quality coming from Reate, but the blade size is way too small for me, bummer

Well, this is pretty disappointing. Didn't even hit 3" of blade. What a waste.

Not disappointing to those looking for a smaller knife...

This looks great. I just wish they'd drop the Limited Edition game, as they have for the ACE line.

One of the things I've noticed (esp after a few very recent IG teases) is that I think ultimately they're going to go the route of eventually adapting all or most of their GM models into the ACE line as an ongoing production version. You have a couple of these already in the Biblio/GM1 and the Sonoma/GM3. They've also teased a couple models on IG that are ACE models of the GM2 and GM5.

Not that I think that solves the whole problem of the limited edition thing, but I do think, if they do the ACE models right, like they did with the Sonoma, we could be in a nice position of getting to see some of those great designs in the GM line at a more affordable price, dressed up in canvas micarta. I certainly hope that's the route they continue to go, at least.

You are probably sitting on something made in China right now. Don't fall...
Seriously...
Remove all of the Chinese made parts from your car and see how far you get.;)

And <3" blade on something labelled "Giant" is quite the misnomer.
I was looking forward to something in the 3.5" range.
Oh well, plenty of other Reates in my size preference.

Thanks ScooterG ScooterG

What does the pirate mouse mean? Does that mean the "budget version"?

They say Pirate Mouse Cousins, so yes, that’s what I’m guessing. They might bring back a fixed blade too?

GiantMouse 'Pirate' editions are just more limited. Same materials, but black finishes and a different logo.

I've always wanted to try a Biblio and I like this new GM6, I like smaller knives. But don't know about the price........
