Girls & Knives - Courtesy of Brad Duncan

For purposes of art - that's my guess, Mr Negative.

Murky Depth I have to ask how old are you, because you can't seem to focus on what is going on here.

You said and I quote "he's not resorting to using girls to sell his knives" and I asked "then why are his knives, in the pictures with the women."

Meaning, if he is not using that tactic why are the women and knives combined in the picture? Are you with me?

Pay close attention: "Art" what your answer. Now if someone who owned several of Mr. Duncan's knives had taken those pictures and said look at the way I have chosen to display my collection, then I would fully agree with you.

But since he is a knife maker and has a product to sell, I can't agree with you. I'm not being negative, I only call it what it is. I am also in my thirties, have a few tats, long hair, piercings and don't share his way of thinking.

I love looking at women but let's not reduce knife shows to the pornographic nature of some car shows.
You people know what I am saying, women and knives each have their own category, let's not combine the two.

Shouldn't you be writing a scathing letter to your congressman about the end of prohibition being evil or something? Or are you too busy finishing your manifest on why women shouldn't wear skirts above the ankles while you're hiding in a small cabin in the woods?
Seriously, join us in the 20th century. We have marketing now. Men buy knives, men like women, so they go together well. If you don't like women, that's OK, but ya don't have to be a downer on the rest of us, man. ;)

Dear Sir, it doesn't matter how old I am. I'm young at heart, sorta like George Burns was. But anyway, maybe you'd like to see guys in thongs, flexing, holding pink delicas, but I for one wouldn't. That's just my personal preference.

About the Asian Schoolgirl shot, that would be a great addition, I'll see what Brad can do.

Did you read what I said WYK? Judging by the comments I can see I am engaging in a conversation with teenagers, I won't have anything further to say.

When you resort to name calling, you show everyone your lack of conversational skills and I would go as far as to say the number in your reply matches your I.Q. I'm done talking children.

Wow man, you sound like you need a manly hug. Lighten up.

I am 15 and I for one do not appreciate the use of one's age as an insult. I am sick of people using someone's age against them. Age is a totaly irrelevent factor in a discussion. Why do people always pull the age card? Maybe because they have no valuable insight to put on the table? I am not saying this is true in this case, but it often is.

The human body is an incredible piece of machinery. Why not use it to show off another piece of engineering magnificence?

I suppose it does look a little cheap but I don't find it objectionable. The knives should sell if they're good, if not they won't. I think (hope) most knife buyers won't purchase a knife because of a good looking person holding it.

Same tactic used by small time "ohh, call me now lonely boy, its only 3 dollars a minute" folks on late night TV ads. Stick some below average looking females with moderate sized boobs, and figure the raging testosterone will cause the guys to throw money at them. Cheap...but effective on the easily influenced.

I do have one question though, which has the higher IQ...the girls or the knives?

I'm with you in principal. I'm 34 and work with a bunch of guys in their 50s & 60s and I get that all the time. It irritates me too. ;)

.

Someone should have thrown in a "...Lighten up Francis.." by now.

Thanks for the pics Murky.

I don't really like the juxtaposition of hot girls and knives. It doesn't do anything for me. I can see women and cars as a lot of times the curves on a car match the curves of a woman's body, but knives? Not sexy. Kind of like those girls in bikinis shooting machine guns. Just doesn't do it for me.

I'm with Laceration. Something about sharp implements and sex really not going together too well, imo :D But there's definitely no need to be a prude about it. And order a knife from Duncan, just to see how desperate for sales he is. I'm sure there's no waiting at all.

Hey, there only pictures of knives and women. If you don't like the way he advertises don't buy any of his knives. People should lighten up and not take everything like it is life and death.

Well said, and a great example of the difference between "age" and "maturity"!
