Git some M4 !!!

how is the strength of the handle though.. some people have said it feels very cheap

Which size?

The small ones I really don't think could be called "cheap." They have full-length steel liners and have a solid, well-balanced feeling in your hand.

The big ones do, I think, feel "cheap" because they seem a little light and hollow. But...

The Noryl GTX (which is a nylon composite product) is basically indestructible. In normal use, or even abuse, you're not going to do it any serious damage, short of putting it in the fire or dropping it in acid. I saw pics of someone who'd run one over with his pickup - looked almost like new and was definitely not affected functionally. For the money, it's a good product.

this is my 5th griptilian to date and tho the handles on the large are a bit light and hollow feeling they are one of the most ergonomic and comfortable handles on a knife..i even had a set of wilkins grips, and even tho they made the knife seem more expensive i just prefer the feel of a stock griptilian in hand more!!

Hi softrockrenegade -

Sweeet!

I love the picture with the horse looking on - very cool!

***If you think this is bad form to post my pictures in your thread please let me know and I will move them to a new thread on the Ritter M4...***

I received my Ritter RSK today, and of course I took a few pictures to share -

I was sent number 65 of 240, and my example is the full sized model (550).

The fit and finish of my knife is impeccable! The blade is perfectly centered, there are no unusual grind marks or other blemishes - simply put - it is perfect to my eye.

The DLC coating is unusual - it has a feel to it that makes you just want to keep touching it, I cannot describe the feel effectively. The color is really nice, looking like a higher-end coating as opposed to a cheap painted on finish.

The grind on my example is perfect - no lop-sided grind here. The bevel is sharp, but I would not call it shaving sharp. Keep in mind I have to hone any knife I get irregardless of how sharp they come. :D

As with my mini-grip, no blade play, lockup is solid, and the action is smooooooth.

Ok - on with the pictures -

The accouterments - It comes in a grey box as opposed to a blue one, the knife was bagged in the benchmade microfiber cloth bag and was inside a plastic bag. Very nicely boxed.

Very nice mqqn !!! It seems like the large variation seems to have more pronounced vertical striations on the blade from grinding!! The finish on the mini looks stonewashed !!! Thanks for posting more pics!!! And keep em coming guys!!

Ok i'm about to pull the trigger on this one. i did research and seen no problems with the plastic handle. the handle looks slick how is the grip on it?

and does any1 know where you can get new scales for it besides the WilkinsGrips they are just way too expensive for what they are. I might change the handle if i don't like it

was going to get the limited edition manix 2 but m4 is a much better steel

The handle is nowhere near slick. It is insanely grippy, that's why it's called a Griptilian.

If you are thinking about getting Wilkins grips then you might want to go the Gold Class Griptilian route unless you like the Ritter edge geometry that much more. But a Gold Class is a Gold Class.

there like 350$?

i would get the wilkins grips if they were not like 2x overpriced. why i want to find some1 else to make them in g10

$250 on Knifeworks I believe is where I got mine. Just add to cart and input the discount code they provide.

The Ritter blade has a much higher grind than the normal grip. They are both flat ground and both slice very well however the Ritter with its longer taper of the secondary bevel really outslices the grip. I personally think that the Ritter is worth the extra money ESPECIALLY right now when you can get the M4 blade for like 30 bucks more. I would not miss this run my friend, if you wait too long and miss out you can expect to pay around $275 or so on the aftermarket (which is insane).

Are there advantages to the standard Grip's grind over the Ritter?
