despite alot of people being jerks about this contest i picked the most polite entry's and did the random number generator out of those. so without further due the winner is ....................................................................... knoefz !!! congrats and you have 10 hours to contact me or i will pick a different winner :)

Well see this thread had a good outcome so far people. people are quick to point fingers and judge but at least hes still seeing the the upside to all of this and giving away a nice knife.

Tell all of us EXACTLY how you chose the "most polite entries" and who they were. Also tell us what random number generator you used. I also want to see a list of everyone you disallowed to be part of the drawing and how you then accounted for the folks who were allowed two entries for this gaw and how the random number generator was used to make the final selection.

man just leave the kid alone. He's trying to do something good and everyone keeps ragging on him.

Just let him be and move on.

It Does absolutely no good to complain.

We are owed the courtesy of an explanation as to how this very vague giveaway was handled. Who are the most polite entries and what random number generator was used and how it was applied. A very simple request that anyone who hosted a gaw would be able to answer immediately.

He doesn't owe us anything. He decided to be nice and do a give away.

How he chooses to give away a nice knife is his business.

I'm not getting into a flame war as I have nothing to do with this thread, but Geez...... Some people have nothing better to do during the holiday season then to pick on a kid trying to do something nice.

He owes every member here transparency with respect to a gaw that he invited members to participate in especially in light of the vagueness of both the selection process and those who were supposedly kicked out of that process on a last minute conditional whim as he referred to only the "most polite entries" being considered eligible.

You mean the contest where all you had to do to enter was say "I'm in"? :confused:

It's not like everyone gave this dude their personal information.

If I send you the lump of coal you deserve, will that make you feel like a winner?
 
"I'm in" is not polite. "Please enter me in your generous giveaway, and thank you for your generousity." is polite.

And I thought my generation was the generation full of entitled....children.
if I had to guess, he got rid of the entries that were attacking him.

As a member I am entitled to not get scammed by another member. I'm not saying I was, but if this gaw is on the up and up he should have no problem going into a little more detail how he made his selection and who was disqualified and why they were disqualified.

Is it really that unreasonable to ask this from him and to expect an answer?

I thought I was polite, but it doesn't matter. If someone is getting a sebenza someone is happy. It's a cool thing to do.
