Give it up for the IBBB

You fella's ain't helpin one bit. I'm leaning towards waiting for another original short bowie. I thought about the screw setup like gun grips so I could dress for the occasion but not solid on that neither.

Short Bowie,,, as in medium or another micro? I gotta know about ALL the bowies! I like the idea of a screw set up,, haven't seen much of that style in any custom work yet. Maybe Yangdu has a blemished one you can brutalize, I mean make custom! Ha! :)

Getting back to the original subject line here though,, I just gotta give it up for this little powerhouse.

The original and best IBBB is about 7 1/2" long, the second generation requested by fella's with big hands was the same blade with an inch longer handle, so they net out around 8 1/2" or so. I don't need the extra handle length and most who have held mine, everyone wants to hold it get along fine.

So they are a bit confusing. The short handle, the long handle micros and then the mini's which start at 10" (the one I have anyhow) and then 12 and 15 and I don't know what the largest is. Not including the Giant Chitlangi bowie which is a whole nuther variety and must have item in itself.

I do believe the largest one ive seen in the AK style might be this Vim made 18.5". Im making a carry strap from a parachute harness so if it will dangle a man from the sky it should hold this fine piece of steel:thumbup: I still have to figure an adjustable buckle arrangement for the one taped end.

Damn Dog! what in the world you hunting with that Bowie? A Grizzly, Polar Bear, or one badass Wild Boar? If it's human, I say he/she better run for their life, because if you catch them with that Bowie, you gonna take their life.

Its for hunting Pterodactyl! You have to drop down on them and take their head off with one whack or they will make a mess of you in a hurry:D Yes Bawanna Pugs pants was definitely in order here. You notice things were quiet in his shop for a while there after he finished this one. He prolly had to have some recovery time after distressing half a cow;)

For a bit of perspective here it is with my micro.

That for sure was a HUGE blade to cover, had hours in just stitching it:(, but alas I have recovered and working again. It was a beauty to hold for a bit and would take anything in its way no doubt.

DANG! that is gigunduos... I thought my 16" was huge (insert deflation sound) that thing is for pterodactyls isn't it!~ nice bowie my friend,,, real nice :)

Actually cul i think it will make a great chopper! It rivals my 20AK. Its really great for splitting kindle because all you have to do is set the blade where you want to split it and drop it down on the chopping block and done deal. No effort at all except picking it up. Great for feeding the little wood-stove.

Thanks dmc. I have a regular 15+ inch one too. One remarkable thing the Kamis have done to the whole series is getting the balance right. They all feel lively as heck. I think maybe because they have the distil taper proportions in the handle and the blade figured out so well. Both Vim and Bhakta are outstanding Kamis and their knack for fullering is superb.

Could use the micro as a Karda. I can see Pugs cringing as I type.
Ha! Thats a cool idea! I like it. No worry Pugs...Im done with ya on these blades;) I couldnt be happier!
