Happy New Year Mate!....... these are terrible models.....just terrible.... NO ONE should eve consider buying one..... in fact I would go far as to say that if you are unlucky enough to have one darkening a space in your home you should immediately rid yourself of it.... because I am such a great friend and helper here, I would be willing to accept these horrible things if shipped to me. Once here I will of course take them into the far west red dirt country here and abandon them where they can do no more harm![]()

John, I would love to hear of your experience with knives. What do you currently own etc. I am always interested in what people gravitate to before busse.Prosperity to you in the coming 2026 BF!
Busse has caught my eye. I can’t quite explain why, but something about these knives speak to me. I’ve shied away from high end fixed blades historically—it is an intimidating side of the collector’s game.
For the Busse pros, would you give me a short rundown of why these knives speak to you? Why are they always coming up as “the best?”
Let me hear from some contrarians too if there are any.
Beyond studying these blades for myself, I want to hear what makes them great from the folks who have the wisdom.
Final question: what’s the first Busse you would reccomend as a point of entry?
Thanks,
John
Watching Darryl survive the Zombie Apocalypse with the OG Team Gemini sold me on a "do all" fixed blade. He made arrows for his crossbow, dressed squirrel, stabbed zombies in the head, pryed open doors and cabinets, and among many other things. Although just a show...it encouraged me to search for the best survival knife in the world. And that is when I found Busse. I have searched no more. . . .After Thousands of dollars invested, I still have
NO REGRETS

I feel like I may have moved a rung up the ladder of knife-dom by stumbling into Busse. Pretty slick.Oh no...a Rat....you're gunna be hooked for sure
Just to give you an idea of what the Busse folks are like, I bought my first Busse knives from Andy Prisco at Sharper Instinct back in 2000. At the time, Busse knives were hard to come by. Unless you found them at a show you had to order from one of just a couple distributors, and they were made in such limited quantities there was always the fear of missing out. I had ordered a Satin Jack LE and a Satin Jack CG, and after waiting for months I called the shop to ask where the SJ run stood. Turns out they were done and gone. Andy had hit some financial woes and wasn't able to secure any of them. Jerry came on the phone and apologized profusely (even though it wasn't in any way his fault). He said he'd make me one of each, asked what number I wanted on the LE, and offered me $100 off the cost of the CG. The Busse folks truly care about their customers.
