I do not own any knives i am new to knives and i am currently looking for a good EDC knife which i heard that benchmades are amazing quality and very long lasting so please sign me up.
I currently do not own a Benchmade. I have been a believer in several other brands but have not tried Benchmade. Its time I try the last of the big three. I most likely have been missing out! Thanks.
Since I don't have any Benchmade's it would be nice to compare it to a Buck 110 folder and and EKA folder that I do have. It would be used for deer skinning like the other two knives mentioned.
Thank you very much for the chance.
I have owned axis benchmade's before but do not own any Benchmades now
I like this one mostly because the dagger-ish grind, fell in love with this grind when I scored a Al Mar SERE 2000. Axis is just too cool to play with, and the whole blade folds into the handle. (not many folders pull that off ) This guy seems to be thin in the pocket also...
So...
Dagger-ish axis lock that is fun the carry and play with... Whats NOT to like?
I would give it a good permenant home, and she would see pocket time
The pivot must have been quite loose, customs opened the package and were able to easily flick it open so they said. It's theirs now. No flick or assisted knives allowed in Australia.
I guess a new one would be tight enough not to fall open but I haven't tried again yet.
If I don't win I'll still buy a new one some day.
I have an Emerson 8, Falkniven PXL and a SOG Gayle Bradley that I EDC along with a few smaller knives plus fixed blades on display, but still have never touched a benchmade. It would get used and kept
In the spirit of generosity I'll start a give away now too
Already own 2 Ritter Grips and a Mini DejaVoo, so I'm not eligible. Would still like to try a 530, though. The Axis lock is very nice. Easy one-handed opening and closing and solid lock-up.
I've never owned a nice folder, i have a few nice ones, but nothing like that. im just a teenager but im really interested in blades. I've really wanted a benchmade but there out of my price range. i have a few really nice fixed blades but would really like a great folder. i take really good care of my tools so that they will last a lifetime. Im a boyscout working on my eagle and i cant bring my fixed blades camping with me. this would really help me out
Not fair. I own a grip, and a 710. I bought a 530, the wife carried it, and now she cannot find it. She has now lost an Al Mar Osprey MOP handle and now this one. I want another 530!!!!!!
OK, rant off. Good luck to the winner, this is a great knife.
I have always wanted to have a Benchmade and I have never owned one for myself. I often go to Bass Pro Shop with my girlfriend to look at knives among other things. One day as I was looking at a 940 that I knew I wouldt buy, she caught sight of a pink Benchmade 556. She played with it for a while and fell in love (she has a thing for pink and butterflies). So for our anniversary I got one for her. She loves it and started carrying it daily. Is it strange that I get a smile on my face every time that I see her use it? Oh well so my girlfriend now has one, but I dont, and she just loves to point it out every time she pulls it out.
I do not need a Benchmade by any stretch of the imagination, but I would really like to have one. Good luck to everyone and thanks cmbfishing for the cool giveaway.
Man, lots of givaways today. Quite generous.
I looked at some Benchmades but they're too rich for my blood without being able to try them first.
So, how about this. If I win I will carry this for a month or so to try it out, then I vow to give it away again on this forum.
I've never own a benchmade, and I have a spyderco Manix 2, so I want to first compare Spyderco VS Benchmade, and then I want to compare a ball bearing lock VS a AXIS lock. I would do a extensive review with high rez photos if I receive this knife.
Only own a kershaw whirlwind and leatherman charge. this is one of the benchmade models i've looked at many times, love how its size seems like would be perfect for EDC. I work with/around animals on a daily basis and the less opportunity for a bigger bulky knife to fall out of my pocket the better...that doesn't mix well with the critters! this one seems perfect for that, and haven't been able to commit that much money to a nicer folder (too much school debt!). i also really like the simple dimensions and handle design on this model and thats its made the USA. an opportunity to finally use the axis lock too = sweet! thanks for the chance! (for full disclosure though i do own a benchmade rant as of a month or so ago...but no benchmade folders...hope it doesn't count me out!)
i do own a benchmade, however i'm not entering this because i want it. it says no selling/trading but how about giving it to a friend? i have a friend who landscapes and he had this crapppyyy knife he carried. i gave him my s&w ck8h, which while actually not a horrible knife, it isnt a good one either. i never carried it, and none of my other knives would really suit landscaping because theyre mostly too small. so i wanted to give him something to use. but i wouldnt mind giving him a good knife he can use hard. plus he's kind of add so i know he'd love to play with the axis lock.
I would certainly be very happy to add a knife by another generally well respected knife making company to my collection of Emersons, Kabars, and Spydercos as I'm looking to compare as many of the knife companies to each other as possible as well as begin a line of knife reviews.
I think that this Benchmade would be a great place to start.
Thanks for the giveaway and congratulations to whoever wins!
