I love Blackwater Falls. I vacation in Elkins/Bowden every year. Ain't no finer place I've found. As I posted in the W&SS forum, Its Heaven on a stick.;)
 
Bushwacking in the Adrirondack Mountains

The morning was clear and still, with no hint of the nightmare
It had been a tough night, with heavy wind and blown snow.
The tent had billowed and rolled and I had to lean into the movement
I learnt a lot that trip; it was the first time I felt in danger of my life.

I watched the sun rise between two peak, un-named but forever in my heart
The snow neutral and now passive reflected the changing colors
Dark grey to a touch of orange before the time of shadows
The outlined trees darken and the snow became orange and yellow
Long shadows pulling dark blue from the nether time of the sky

Map, compass, and a bearing as I bushwacked off Mt Marcy
 
All I can say is:

I am sure glad that the winning person will be chosen via means of a random drawing, because it would have been nearly impossible to pick the winner otherwise.
