That's a piece of agarita root. I thought about making it into a brooch of some sort but it makes a better prize.
Not even bois d'arc is that yellow, almost but not quite.
The grain in the root is different than the grain in the limb.

It was definitely a fun contest, and thanks again for the prizes. Ill make a paracord lanyard for it. Did you make it yourself?
 
Another talented nameless BF member milled it and gave it to me raw.
I then smoothed the edges and gave it a fun finish.

Flaunt it with pride. There are only a few of those on the loose.

As with the Agarita bead. I have never seen another except for the ones I made for the wife. She has one on her knife lanyard;)
