GIVEAWAY - New OPINEL #7 - WINNER!!!

(not entering giveaway)

I just bought this knife yesterday in stainless as my first Opinel. Much better than I expected and proof that there's great value still out there.

Good luck to everyone!

I would reshape, refinish, and put a lanyard hole in the handle. It will part of my tool kit at work. We are a small start up and tools are limited.

Excellent answer, these Opinels just cry out to be customised to be "yours". The way they are made means that you can get really creative or just a few mods, they end up looking good anyway.

I'm out of the draw, it would cost way more to ship one to the U.K. than I could buy one for locally but it's a very nice give-away.

I'm in. I'm grooming my 5 year old stepson to be my new camping buddy. He really likes the #8 I carry a lot and has been learning knife skills with it. The #7 will be his if I win. His mom hates the outdoors and my old camping buddy unfortunately passed away some years ago. Will be nice to share the outdoors with someone again.

I've never owned one before so I will show it off and put it to good use.

By contributing member do you mean paying member? If so I'm outta luck.

But otherwise, I would LOVE an Opinel. I would rotate it into my edc, carve the handle and refinish with oil. I would most likely use it for food prep and wood carving.

I'm in, thanks! Have been wanting one for years. Think I would use it as is as a back pocket work knife here on my small chunk of land.

I appreciate the post about what you guys would do with the knife if you won. It is interesting hearing some of your ideas and would be nice to know the knife was put to good use.

Not paying, that is why I said members/users. I meant contributing to the forum with posts of substance.
Tried to keep it short or else I would have went on for several paragraphs with superfluous information that no one wanted to read.

I'm in, thank you. I'd put it in the "get home bag" I'm putting together.

Not an entry, way to go blades and bullets great gesture and thanks for giving back!

I'm in. Thanks for the chance.

I will add a leather lanyard and leather sheath, add some patina to that blade, and use it as my steak & fruit knife.

I'm in. I'd put it through a torture test and post the results. Thanx

Always found these things intriguing. I wish carbon steel folders were more widespread, with modern handles and styling. This will live with my simple classic camping gear.

Thx for the generosity. Please count me in.

Cool count me in please (if you'll ship international)

I'd gift the knife to my GF as I got an Opinal #6 from her for out aniversary a few years back.
We both love the super lightweight scalpel.
This bigger brother would be a perfect 'ladies purse' knife.

thanks for the chance.

Goodluck everyone :)

I am not at a 100 threads yet. I would rotate out my "Sod Busters" as every day carry and use it mostly in the kitchen. Thanx :)

Not an entry, I just wanted to say Thank you to you and generous others like yourself. I hope it finds a good home.
I love my Opinel #8 for cutting apples for snacks at work. I have a #10 and a saw for my wilderness roaming kit. Going to get myself one of their pruners soon.
So far, nothing has pleased me so much for so little investment. Opinels rock.

I've never owned an Opinel so it would be my mission to use it and get addicted to them.:D
