Great giveaway, and congrats to the winners. Kinda relieved that I don't have to make that tough decision on which of those beautiful knives to choose.
AWESOME! This just made my week! Thank you so much for your generosity!
I think I'm going to have to try out that GEC Gambler. I never even knew the pattern existed before this thread (I normally don't take much intrest in skinny knives for an unknown reason) however this thread had me searching for information on it this past week and all-of-a-sudden I've been somewhat smitten now by skinny Traditionals. Kinda cool how this all worked out I plan to really carry this knife and give a review on it after a while.
I am in Italy for one more month, and my brother is taking care of all my packages. I will allow him to carry this one to church until I get home and can enjoy it myself next month. I don't have any knives even remotely like this, I am so thankful for your generosity to try it out!
I am REALLY excited for this knife! It was a great way to wake up. I can't believe the generosity on this subforum between members. I will not get to play with this awesome knife for a month (still in Italy until late October) but will look foward to trying it out every day. It will be quite the wait knowing it's waiting for me at home.
Italy has had a lot of exciting moments for my wife and I, however most of the time is spent missing home (I am working about 55 hours a week) and my wife trying to figure out how to everything a home needs in a foreign country. The friendless of the Traditional forum has really helped me feel like a bit of home is able to be accessed at all times. Thanks Guys, this is a great place!
Here is a shot of an near-abandoned (huge) suspension bridge we found in the Dolomiti Mountains. Walking across it reminded me of a similar (but much smaller) bridge we cross to get to our favorite hiking path back home:
And "our" bridge that brings us to great places back home:
Great win Macchina! I would've chosen that Gambler too, something of a rare bird. Some people have all the luck: living in beautiful Italia and now this
That suspension bridge really interests me, kind of nerve-wracking testing it out... I believe there was a similar bridge in the Classic Spaghetti Western 'The Good, the Bad&the Ugy' where the late Eli walach has to get over some rickety bridge to safety
Wow.....just woke up and found that I'm the winner of Mike's book. What a great way to start the weekend.
Mike....Thanks so much for your generosity. I'm looking forward to receiving it. Sent you a PM.

Thanks again everyone. Steve and Berkley, I struggle with maps and pictures when I use my Kindle, but I'm sure that's just me. There are lots of pictures in this book.
