I like Memorial Day, it's good to have a moment to reflect on the challenges earlier generations faced.

I think Christmas is my favorite. Sure it might be a default holiday that most people would pick around this time of year, but, Christmas is the only holiday that can make me feel the same as I felt when I was just a little kid. I dunno, I guess maybe the spirit of Christmas has never died with me. And, with my kids I get to share what made me happy about it and those things aren't dated or irrelevant. My kids like all the same tv specials and movies I grew up watching.

Thanks for the great GAW.

Red and Green (very festive)

Pretty much any holiday works for me. But Christmas would be my favorite as well.

Red Carbon Fiber is what I'll be carrying this year:

My favorite holiday is actually not a holiday, but the week between Christmas and new years...my birthday is January first so I guess it's because of the anticipation I felt as a child:)

This is what I'll be carrying for a good while, thanks for the chance and Merry Christmas!

This was harder then I thought! After thinking long and hard I would have to go with thanksgiving. Family, food, fall, what's not to like!
Oh, and you can't forget the leftover turkey sandwiches.

Absolutely Christmas, no doubt. My job has assigned me to go back to school for a few years, so I get to work student hours right now. It makes evenings worse because I always have something I could be doing, but the breaks make up for it all. This Christmas I will have over a month off to spend with my wife and kids, more time than I have had with them in six years.

Here is a picture from tonight, trimming low branches from the Christmas tree:

My favorite holiday has to be Thanksgiving. A little back story, my family isn't very close, we all have very separate lives. The only family I am close to are my parents and grandma, and I can count on one hand the number of times I see other family members yearly. That is why I like Thanksgiving, I get to see all my family I never get to see, eat good food (my cousin rocks the turkey, usually makes a kick ass ham too, my grandma makes perfect mashed potatoes, and my great aunt makes the best sweet tea), and just generally get to enjoy myself. Nothing like good food, gorging yourself, and quality time with family.

Awesome! My favorite holiday would have to be trout opener each year. I like all the holidays but this one is special to very few of us:

Wow this is crazy generous mate!

My favorite holiday is New Year's. Thanksgiving would be a close second but I gotta go with NYE. People all gathering together, reflecting on their past and futures, making silly or serious resolutions to change their lives.

I'll do two stories since one is a bit hard to listen to.

Last year, new years eve 12/31/2014 I had made a resolution to end my own life. At that point I was a broke, unemployed, desperate, morbidly obese alcoholic with nothing to live for. I decided that there was nothing else for me and I would simply end everything. Luckily I failed that and am in a wonderful place where I have improved my state of being. As of today I have a great job, money in the bank, I lost 87 pounds since May, am almost a year sober, and the happiest I've ever been. Now onto the pleasant story!

New years eve 12/31/2004 I remember spending with my older brother and my mother. My brother and I have always been close since we were raised by a single mother for many years before she met our stepfather. I remember that year we just sat together in the living room watching the countdown and talking for hours on end while waiting for new years to hit. I remember that night so fondly, not because of any particular thing we said but just that for over four hours we laughed our asses off together, we shared memories, talked about resolutions, and teased each other. It was one of the goofiest, happiest nights we had as a family and even though none of us actually accomplished any of our resolutions, we still enjoyed the experience.

A little bit of christmas gunhammer goodness

Sorry for the long ramble, I'm in for the win!

My favorite holiday is Christmas. The memories of cookies baking in the oven and Christmas movies playing while its snowing outside. Being with family and friends. Love it :D

Here is one of my favorite pictures I have taken

My favorite would have to be Boxing Day. That is, the day after Christmas. After all the hectic activity, it's a day to sleep in, eat leftovers, play with new toys, nap, read new books, be lazy. :D

gosuto, Glad things turned around for you!

Thanks for the generous GAW.

Having a Grandson has made all holidays a blast. I really like the autumn & Thanksgiving time. We had a freak Mid-Western snowstorm and got 13" overnight last week. Made a little igloo for my Grandson, but he insisted I get in it.

Something fun about autumn

Christmas has always been my favorite. So many memories of cutting down the tree with dad. We lived on a farm so we would just go out and find one. They didn't look good at all but to me they were beautiful.

Thanksgiving. I don't have a favorite because they were all rough growing up but my wife loves Thanksgiving and I love to see her happy.

I'm in. Thanks for the chance.

Favorite Holiday is most definitely Christmas. Last year my mom bought my dad a drone. He has wanted a remote controlled plane since he was a little kid. I came over to there place while I was working and watched my dad take his new drone on its maiden voyage. It took off, went over the back of the house, went over their tree line, got caught up in the wind and disappeared in low clouds. Mom was incredibly pissed!!
