GIVEAWAY winner post 34 you won

Independence Day. It's in summer, so perfect for hanging out outdoors. Plus, it gives me an excuse to blow shitake up!

When I was younger, me and my friends drove around, creating chaos and doings whatever youngsters do. We came across a fireworks stand that had a buy one, get 3 free deal going, so we bought ALL of his M80's. We tied the fuses together on appx 30 of them, put them under a clay pot. We put a small weight on top of the pot to keep it from not exploding. We ran a fairly long fuse, lit that bad boy and BOOM! We only found fragments of the pot. It was amazing! Those were some good times :)

I have come to enjoy Father's Day. Since becoming a Dad myself, it changed my own relationship with my father. And it's a day I can selfishly spend shooting with my dad.

I will have to say Christmas is my favorite holiday. I have so many great memories of Christmas time when I was growing up. It brings my family together more than any other holiday so for that reason that's my favorite. Thanks for the chance!

I would have to say me favorite holiday is Halloween. I like people acting out a bit more, which I think is closer to how they truly are.

Definitely Christmas! My family did not celebrate holidays when I was growing up, and I only recently started celebrating, so I get all excited for Christmas. My tree always goes up on Halloween night!

Congratulations on 4000 post. My favorite holiday is Christmas Eve. All of my grown children and grandchildren gather at our house for a big Christmas party and exchange presents. It's always a wonderful time. Thanks for the generous GAW.

My favorite holiday is probably Halloween. Thanksgiving and Christmas have some rough memories associated with them. New Years has always been just another day. But Halloween has always been a night where I connected with. Go out with friends dress up into some costume that the +1 picked out, not worried about what family argument was going to take place. It's always been peaceful for me so it has been my favorite.
Thanks for the Giveaway!

My favorite Holiday is Thanksgiving, hands down. My sister in law hosts so we just get to relax and enjoy the food and company. Christmas was my favorite as a kid because it was always a magical time, but the holiday has been wrecked by gaudy marketing, materialism and my disdain for shopping. 😄 Thank you for the GAW.

Well, I honestly can't decide...

Last year was the first year that I had a child for the Major holidays, my daughter was born in July.

By the time Christmas rolled around, she was old enough to tear open some gifts since. Granted, she didn't get the whole idea behind what Christmas represents and she enjoyed the tearing of the paper more than the gifts themselves, but I digress...

What all of this is building up to is that I am learning how to respect the holidays more as a "Family" thing, not just family getting together and eating, talking, remembering loved ones that have passed on, and new ones that came along thing, but that Holidays as a whole are what build families. We may see them as many other things, but when it is our turn to look back while laying in a hospital bed, the memories that are formed over a lifetime, have focal points of conversation and reminiscing.

Those are what makes the Holidays stand out to me. And this Christmas is shaping up to be a Great one!

My favorite holiday is christmas eve, I love spending time with my family and loved ones. It is the nicest, most "warm" feeling time of the year for me. I have always loved being around the people that I love. My story for it being my favorite is more of a feeling of peace and comfort, than any single memory.

I've gotta say Halloween. Every year I have a bunch of people over for a horror movie marathon, 6 years in a row. We start at 9am and go until 2am. My wife and I lived in an old, 17th century historical inn as caretakers for a couple years, and so I used to be able to have the marathon in the Library. The place would be all boarded up and closed down for the winter (yes, just like "The Shining") and I would rent a projector and a screen and pack people into this dusty room where all the furniture was shrouded in sheets and we would just watch and watch and watch until our eyeballs bled. It was so creepy in that inn that people would have to make trips to the bathroom in groups. There's a certain kind of weird energy that fills a room when you hit hour 16 of watching nothing but excellent horror films.

Thanks for the opportunity!

Favorite Holiday would have to be Christmas! I know it's a go to holiday however.. It's one of the only times our large family all gets together! Plus it's one one of the only times of the year you can get others to spend money on your knives rather than you
