GLADIUS - What do you think?

Will it become a "Classic"? Busse swords are considered quite good by sword conoisseurs. The Ruck, AK47 and recent Swamprat sword all represent good investments and are much cheaper and more resilient than custom models. Now we have the Gladius. I don't think I'll ever buy one because I don't believe I'll ever need one. It does seem that the Gladius would be a perfect weapon for hand to hand combat. The existance of guns makes these swords rather obsolete but there are quite a few sword enthusiasts around the globe who could greatly appreciate its design. For those of you who have wielded one at Blade or elsewhere, what's your opinion of the Gladius? Is it too heavy or does it feel just right? I would hate to be on the receiving end of a beast like the Gladius. Why hasn't anyone posted any pictures yet? Were they pre-order only? Any comments, hands-on opinions or reviews would be greatly appreciated.Tthanks in advance.

For myself I'd love one, but [like most] I'm on a budget right now and may have to pass...but if I ever hit the Lottery??? Things might be different.

I sort of wish I had a use for one, but I just don't.

They look absolutely badass, and it's INFI after all...

So, I'm stuck with my teeny (by comparison) BWM.

I don't know how I'll survive, but I'll manage somehow.

Maximus likes it!!!

I think I just read in an interesting sale thread that the CGs were around $597.00...

Feel free to correct me!

I held the Gladius a lot at Blade, and for it's size, it's light. Wish the blade length was a tad longer though. It's a mean blade, that's for sure. Most of them were pre ordes but the crew did bring a handful of buy it now blades. We pre ordered one with a black blade and orange and black g-10.

I wanted to get one for a user, but besides zombies, I don't think there's gonna be a use for it besides looking bad a$$ hanging on a wall.

It's a sweet sword though. And speaking of the Gladius, the ebay hell begins. There's one up now, pre-sale.

It was cool getting inducted with one too, glad Jerry waited till after the induction to start drinking properly.

I think it's a heck of nice blade and for the price they went at the show I'd have a got a CG but now it's never going to be for me as I just can't afford it.

I want to see how these are going to be sheathed. You could possibly get away with a hip sheath but I'm thinking this could also very well get a centre of the back sheath.

That Gladius is off the freekin hinge!!:thumbup:
It's already a Classic, imo.

It's very heavy for a fighting knife of this type.

But, who in the heck is into knife battle these days anyway:p

It was a very impressive piece of work. Great grinds, and finely crafted in every way.

Well, I think its one of the best Busse's ever made!

See my avatar;)

I picked up a Gladius. It's not about function, although the knife is beautifully ground, very well-balanced for its substantial weight, and is certifiably a Weapon of Mass Destruction. But nobody really needs a sword in an age of firearms.

It's how you feel when you wield it. The feeling of power goes straight to the marrow of your bones and resonates with ancient segments of your DNA. You don't even have to be subject to the influences of testosterone--women can also be swept up irresistably:

Make sure you Get One! That's all I am going to say

You can thank me later :D

Gorgeous and badass as all hell - I think it will hold a similar place in the Busse arena (pardon the pun) as the Ruck and AK47...

As for me, I just have no use for it...
