Yep, it was an easy choice - to match the Sword Brand tang stamp.

Actually I initially had a slight preference to keeping the original shield, however, I believe it is quite thin, and susceptible to damage during removal....figured the best bet was to go with a new and better shield.
 
Thanks. It's always tough with such a small knife, you have to get a material with smaller grain/pattern to make it stick out. Ironwood is usually a good candidate!
 
....he is WICKED baaaad!!!! I’ve always wanted an acorn shield. Didn’t know how it would look on a stockman, but I am more than excited to have this one back.

Thanks Jason, as I’m sure you know more than I, trying to picture an idea in your brain and hoping it looks like you imagined isn’t always so easy. When I told Glenn the bone pattern I wanted I was pretty sure it’d look good, just didn’t know it would look this good.
