Sadly, no. I used all the tricks I know (which ain't too many!), but still soggy snap.

I just got a knife from a very generous GAW that Glennbad put on, and it is awesome! Very cool Trestle Pine Grand Portage that he put nice stag covers on. Great job, and thank you very much!

Something unique?

I purchased the parts for this knife as "ready to assemble." Upon receiving the parts, however, it was evident that the parts weren't from an original assembly. Rather, they appeared to have been pieced together individually (i.e. the main blade, cap lifter, and the body/frame all separately). In fact, the main blade was thicker than the main back spring so if assembled without modification, the knife just wouldn't have operated properly (or with horrendous gaps in the back of the knife).

So, I sent it over to Mr. glennbad and had him take a look over it. Lo and behold, the knife was put back together with minimal alterations (blade had to be thinned) and sent back to me as such! Another magnificent work by Mr. glennbad !!!
