Glennbad is a baaaad man

Glenn has made many a dream come true. Somehow remains humble in the process. Class act.

I have an old Barlow in Glen's capable hands right now. I have told him to do what ever his vision for it is and can't wait to see what he does with it. I know it will be absolutely beautiful. This guy is definitely gifted.

Yes Glenn is surely a master when it comes to catching a vision that one has for a knife! I got this BF stag handled clip from Barry several months back, a second, with plans to have Glenn make some magic. He surely did, IMO! I had always tossed around the idea of doing something in a jade jig handle material. We found the bone that would work best and months later, the finished result!
I know it's not going to be everyone else's cup of tea but to me he nailed it! I will carry this knife while giving my daughter away, at her wedding next weekend. Thanks a ton, Glenn!
Btw, those are not scratches on the bolster, just my crappy pic.

that is amazing!!

Perry, that jigged jade is beautiful! Congratulations!

Glenn has one of my knives right now and I can't wait to see what kind of sorcery he brings to bear on it. We are lucky indeed to have someone in our ranks who can take a knife that is "not quite right", modify it, and make it exceed our expectations.

I've never seen any bone that looked like hard candy. That Sir, looks delicious! Congrats to your daughter and you on the big day. Amazing work Glenn.

The Forum 14 Knife was a great release, but this conversion transforms it into exceptional, fantastic look and more of Glenn's artisan skill. I want one!:D

Thanks, Will

Perry, very very nice...I haven't been on much but believe you've been off line somewhat as well? Nice to see you here and congrats on the wedding:thumbup:

Love the knife and if memory serves (bit of a stretch I know) your Sig line once mentioned "Jade jigged green bone" can you imagine? or something along those lines???

Glenn, again another homerun...just fantastic work:cool::thumbup:

Very nice Perry. It reminds me of David's Gunstock Jack that Glenn modded which I also like.

Holy smokes!!! Beautiful work on ALL those!! I really need to get in line to have a few knives fixed up.

Thank you Paul, Tom and Bob! Bob, you're right, I like that gunstock too! Hey Paul, it's been way too busy in our neck of the woods lately. I have been pulled so many directions that I think I'm Stretch Armstrong!

Here's a different one. I was sent this Fulton knife, the customer wanted to spiffy it up and make it a user. It was a very inexpensive knife construction, the liner, bolster, and shield, are all stamped from the same piece of metal. The main blade was pretty jacked up, so I was asked to reprofile it into something useful. I put some ebony on it and now it's a decent carry.

I've haven't been a huge knife guy until discovering GEC this spring when I found a pic online of the old red sawcut clip point barlow. I found GEC and I got bit hard by the bug. I love the class and craftsmanship of traditional pocket knives. I love a 15 clip as it can be pinched open, only downfall is a little small. I love the size of the 77 but unable to pinch the clip. Glenn helped with all of this with a pinchable 77 barlow and a larger pinchable clip. The 74 Ranch hand was a trapper settup with a spey, I think a large spey blade would make a great skinning blade for deer, but I prefer single bladed knives. Funny though my most carried knife is a 54 Big Jack. I love the smoothness of both of these knives. Ever since their arrival my 54 has stayed in the drawer. I can't believe how thin and smooth the 74 is. I don't mind the 54 in my watch pocket, but I have to say that I don't even notice the 74 in the jeans. I had to give myself a pat down thinking it fell out somehow![/URL[URL=http://s844.photobucket.com/user/bearbug4/media/IMG_9652_zpsk9pkuafu.jpg.html]
I love the satin finish on the blade and bolsters. I'm not a fan of etchings on blades but I tend to favor Northfield trim and long pulls. Satin finished nickel silver bolsters are beautiful. I can't wait to get patina going on the 77. I may even do a forced as I really like the dark bolsters in the production pics with scale before being polished.

Thank you Glenn

I haven't had a whole lot of time on the forums lately, just some time at work. January was tough, as my father in law fell over the holidays and broke his hip. My wife had to go down to Florida with her sister to be with him, so I was left holding down the fort for a few weeks. Needless to say, I did not have a lot of time for "hobbies".

Now that things are somewhat back to normal, I have been able to get some meaningful time in the shop, so I am slowly getting caught up. I apologize for the delay!

Anyway, here are a few that I have finished recently, before and after pics.

Some stellar pieces, Glenn!! The Eureka is my favorite....holy wow that thing is fine:eek: And the last two....omg!!! Burl kills me every time:D
