Hi, I'm Sam and I'm a knifeaholic. I love knives, certainly haven't learned how to make one but I do luuurve using them. I don't think I need rehab or a drug to counteract all of it. *hee-hee!*

Hello. My name is Kevin and I am a knifeaholic. Knives just give me that warm fuzzy feeling.(and that occasional warm sticky feeling when Im not careful) Not bad for a first post if I do say so myself.

Nice going Folks, we've pulled ahead of the Talonite thread. I just wish Kit were here to enjoy the moment, but let's not slow down now. KEEP ON POSTING!

To all of you regulars with multiple posts on this thread Thanks!"

To all of you FNG's that made your first posts here, "Welcome aboard!"

To all of you Lurkers that look at this thread and go, "Huh?" You're wondering why we do this? I don't have a clue, no more than why I'm a KnifeKnut, it's just the way it is.

The Goal for Today is to hit 500

Outside of a dog, a Knife is man's best friend. Inside a dog it is very, very Dark.

Nice initiative. Hi I'm Wouter and I'm a Knifeaholic and since this week an American Studies student. The perfect excuse to frequent these forums I think.

Easyrider asked, a couple of pages back ...

I'm impressed James. You are suppose to be a Hobbit fan,(knife) what are the names of the two (knife) swords found by Gandalf and Thorin?(knife)

Glamdring and Orcrist, as I recall. Gandalf carried Glamdring through the rest of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, and I think Orcrist was entombed with Thorin, along with the Arkenstone, in the Lonely Mountain. It's been about three decades since I read The Hobbit.

I don't remember at the moment - did Bilbo obtain "Sting" (a dagger of Elvish make, or a sword if you're Hobbit-size) from the same trolls' treasure trove where they found the swords, or somewhere else? Sting was passed on to Frodo as his sidearm in Lord of the Rings, along with a coat of mithril chain mail.

Now, for Easyrider or anybody else, what edged weapons did the other three Hobbits besides Frodo carry? And where did they get them? And what bad guys/monsters did each of the four main Hobbit characters in Lord of the Rings kill or maim in the epic?
