In one of those "Oh No!" moments, I saw the post, clicked send, and received a server error message. Stupidly, I didn't have a message waiting to go on the other account. By the time I sent a backup, the previous one cleared.

What a goat rope.

It isn't possible to post and "stick" a thread at the same time. It first must show up as a post and then he must "stick" it at the top.

No it is a "go" when it is posted not when it is stuck. The Sticking just indicates that it is really Jerry as he is a Moderator and he is the only one that can stick it. There is really no way to even tell when it became a "sticky" as that is not time stamped only the post.

From my end, the Bladeforums board was down for about 9 out of 10 F5s (but miraculously not the one just before the "Go"). The BusseCombat Forum was crashed less often, but took forever to load. But it didn't really matter since the "Go" didn't appear there until 3 minutes after it appeared here.
 
BTW,
While I understand everyone wants to get a knife they want, let's please not be so focused on the "rules" that we lose out on the fun. I have missed out on many of the pieces I've wanted in the past and just try to be faster next time. I'm just happy Jerry offers these instead of just sending them to another show (which they have coming up in INDY in a few weeks) If there are a ton of complaints and this becomes a big headache for them we'll all lose out.

So while there may be glitches lets not turn this into a legal debate ;) Jerry has always done is best to be fair to everyone and he will do that again this time.
