Cold Steel was so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.

This isn't the longest folder Cold Steel makes as it sports "only" a 5" blade (yet still has the same cutting length as a 5.5" Voyager), but it may be the more ridiculously overbuilt one. Nearly 14 oz, steel liners as well as G10, triad lock with over 2" of space between the pins making this one of the most robust folding knives I have ever handled. You can wrist snap this monster open easy peasy with a thunderous clap loud enough to make Thor cry.

I wasn't sure if I would like it, but it's grown on me. My wife got it for me yesterday. It's a tad overkill, but so far it has done a serviceable job of cutting open packages that are taped shut ;)

Had the exact same thoughts, then bought one. It’s ridiculous, but it works amazingly well. Oh. A tad overkill? We got a comedian here boys. 😂 I love the darn thing, and apparently you married the right one. 14” demo blade for scale IMG_6478.jpeg

The Gerber Parabellum. Introduced in the late 80's. Originally designed for a DOD contract as a SERE (Survival Evasion Resistance & Escape) knife. It was not chosen so Gerber introduced it to the civilian market. The sheath was designed as a "open" blade carry, or "closed" blade carry. The inch mark indicator on the MP600 helps with size. I am not looking back through 80+ pages to see if these have been added.

The SOG Team Leader was SOG Specialties first folding knife design made in the late 80's. The blade shape carried on to the Tom Cat 1.
