Going light and packing a Drop Leg Subload woods kit

no, its part of the harness. If you want a removable EOD pouch, you can get the HSGI drop leg platform, with PALS row webbing and use Malice Clips to attach a PALS/MOLLE compatible pouch of your own choosing.

i was going to do this originally, but the store had the one i got on sale!

One thing i'm chainging is the big BEEFY YKK Zipper PULLS, they clang around and make noise. A quick snip with a pair of sidecutters to remove the metal pull and then i weaved thru paracord for a truly silent setup

2nd EDIT: Just added a 5:11 large dump pouch to the back of the belt. It folds up into a little square and unfolds quite big. I plan to use it for berry picking or other uses.

Could add your sheath, or a holster, pretty durn easily. Course theres the mall ninja factor to consider...

Well I'm glad that works for you, drop leg stuff drives me insane. I find that if I go any distance (walking I mean and especially uphill) that it makes my pants start to ride up, and it always either chafes (if tight) or bangs (if anything other than tourniquet-level tight.)

But I am glad to hear not everyone has that experience with the stuff! I hate it with a passion, but whatever works for you!

HSG designed this setup to eliminate that. I dont have the leg strap super tight, dont need to. I also have the entire setup mounted on a separate 2" gunbelt , and the pants dont ride up.

normally i have a Camelback Storm in my pack, i really like it, but when using this setup (with no pack) i'll lash a Camelback PAKTEEN (with drinking hose) to the left side of the gun belt. EOD pouch on the right, PAKTEEN on the left. Nicely balanced.

I like the HSGI drop-leg platforms far more than any others that I've tried; it's a great design (which is why I own three).

just ordered one in OD.i'm going to use mine for bow hunting.

i needed something to keep binocs or a range finder in that i could get to easily with one hand and silently,no velcro.i will get rid of the metal pull tabs an replace with 550 pulls.i do that with every single piece of gear i own from packs to coats to sleeping bags and tents.

i'm gonna have to sell my hsgi ali-pad to fund the purchase but since i'll use he this more its worth it.

when i'm out on the trails and i run into a dude with a sweet drop leg setup i can say, hey, you must be that bushman guy right? haha

great lookin setup dude, not really partial to the mec spandex wearing trail runners either :)

looks like a great outdoor kit, btw is that the mora that they had at gorilla in buckets?:D

Just got my platform today. Its awesome. Now I have to config. it
