Hey Everybody.....

Gonna be off the air for a day or two to get a hernia repaired............Soooooo....Please have a great time while I am gone....

Moose assures me I will experience a lot of pain----the Doc says some discomfort.....I am betting on Moose......

Should be back here somewhat impaired thurs or fri .........

Hi Ethan, as the old saying goes, "Been there,done that". Wasn't toooooo bad! Here's to a speedy recovery. Oh yeah, little advice. Try not to sneeze!

Good luck! If it's one of those "old school" hernias....thats NBD. I had to have a abdomnial hernia repaired after a cancer doctor pulled out my guts to remove some lymph nodes as a precaution...and neglected to tell me the risks of later getting an abdominal hernia. Had to have a screen door installed in my front gut and I still wear a back-brace like thing to keep everything feeling tight. Now THAT surgery HURT.

but it probably won't be that bad. pretty nurses :)

Watch what the doc is using for a scalpel... Maybe you should bring a BK11 with you to the OR as a backup ?
 
hey, the doctor should be doing all this with Becker knives, not scalpels :)

and we want pictures, or it didn't happen!

chicks dig scars ;) (and apparently 10% of guys do too. hah)
 
You gotta' stop doing those power lifting competitions ... see what happens.

Just kidding, here's to a quick up and about. And some good meds :D
 
No pain at all .. just make sure they use anesthesia!
Take it easy afterwards, no chasing the nurses ...
 
I also hope that you have a safe procedure and a speedy recovery! No wild hiking expeditions with Moose for a couple of weeks at least. :) Take care Mr. Becker!

Heard that song before - don't sneeze & don't laugh is right on. Discomfort more than pain, you're gonna be tender for a while.
