This guy looks as if he has an impecable reputation here on the forum, yet I can't get any response from him. I bought and paid for a Remington Fore End at the beginning of the month (Nov). I have no package, and no reply to emails or the Paypal dispute.

Is this guy ill, or dead, or out of the country, or what? I'm not really gripping over $10, but an email telling me where my package is would go a long way towards good will. Did anyone else pay for and recieve their goods from his ad selling gear and firearm parts earlier this month?

Thanks for any heads up from anyone.
 
I am not going to speculate as to where John is, but sometimes folks run into issues.

It is the Thanksgiving holiday weekend still after all. Perhaps John is just away visiting and will get back to you very soon.

This is exactly why I am not treating the situation like I've been ripped off. It's obvious he has a stellar reputation here. I am just wondering if anyone knows if he is in the hospital or ???
I know I am relatively new here, but I did my homework to make sure he was above board and he was very pleasant to deal with. That's why I am so mystified as to the lack of contact. I hope all is well, and as I said I'm not too concerned about ten bucks, but if anyone knows him or a reason for for his absence, I'd appreciate a heads up. And thank you for your offer, by the way. A very decent thing to do.

Hmm. I wish I knew ... now I'm a little worried.

There are many here who would happily cover for him, as you've already seen.

More importantly -- can anyone verify that he's alright? :(:confused:
 
UPDATE!!!
Package arrived at my office today (Monday the 1st) so all is well. I just hope all is well with John too. I was never worried about being ripped off, just concerned because I hadn't heard from him.
This is the first transaction I had with him, and I must say I am very impressed. I not only received the fore arm I was expecting, but a nice tactical sling with a GG&G sling mount as well. Quite a gentleman, and a class act. No note, just the goods. I'll be sending him a nice thank you. And Thanks to all of you for your offers to cover his end. It wasn't necessary but appreciated just the same. Says a lot for his character, and this site as well. Happy Holidays to all!
 
That is why these forums are here, I'm so happy to hear that its all ok. :D

This is not a place to force people out of hiding, its a place to check on someone if needed. I wish more would understand that is not all bad! I made the mistake of checking in on someone a little while back and got burned for it, I'm very glad to see this didnt turn out the same way,
 
Guys, Thank you all for your feedback - things are cool, been a wild ride these last few weeks... I've been OBLE (OvercomebByLifeEvents) to the max, and AWOL

Between the new baby drama, the DRT sister-in-law/Brother find her DRT in the bed with him, ems revive in ER and then turn off ventilator same day drama, and the extended sleep deprivation experiment that is the essence of having a newborn in the house at 42, I'm getting by... :D
