Good-bye dear friend, Dog Gone

I feel your pain and sorrow, it's never easy losing your furry friends. When they are one of the special ones that come alone a time or two in your lifetime, then it's 100 times as hard.

Sorry to hear this T. Erdelyi.

It's never easy to say goodbye to an old Friend.

Shauna...Good Dog!!

She is with my Doc now..they are friends on the other side of the Rainbow bridge where its always warm and sunny and plenty of food and water and play time..

Terribly Sorry for your loss T.

Hopefully the memories will bring a smile to your face in due time.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. My heart hurts for you. It is very difficult to loose a beloved pet. Hugs to you. I am going to include a poem that has helped me and my family through difficult times like this, and I hope it helps you.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Prayers man, it is always tough losing family and pups are family.

We have labs now, and they are known for hip displaysia. The oldest one has it. This icy weather has been terrible for him, poor guy cries out in pain when he comes up the steps. A baby aspirin and a warm towel to massage his hips is about all you can do.

I love all my pups equally, but one of my best was a pup named St Nick. Ol' Nick was half yellow lab and half german shepherd, one of the smartest dogs I've ever seen. Pulled some crazy stunts, but he was a good pup. Had hip displaysia too.

Beau, Rem, Doc and I send prayers.

Cap, Mindy, Sunny, Rinny, Nick, Moon and Gus will be with her up there.

My sympathy having go through this more times than I care to think about is with you and your family.

If there is not a place in heaven for dogs, I want to go where they go.

You provided a fine life to a good friend, smoke sent, may you find peace and strength from within.

Sorry you lost your loyal friend Here is a picture of my boy Pheonix. It will be a sad day when he goes to dog heaven.

Sorry for your loss T,I've had many dogs come and go through my life, but the best ones will always have a special place in our hearts.

When our dog died I wrote up a paragraph about who she was and what she meant to us. I printed this out and glued it to a heavy 304 stainless steel plate, then engraved the words into the plate with a diamond engraver. I put the engraved plate into a tub of boat trailer wheel bearing grease, then put this tub inside a 2 gallon plastic container. I buried this with my dog. I take comfort in knowing that long after I am dust, someone may find that plate and know she was loved. Doing this helped a little ..........

My sincerest condolences to you and yours at the loss of such a beloved family member.

A dog's life is so short compared to ours but they seem to maximise the time they have with us thru their zest and happiness and the strong and unbounded love they give to us but leave such deep wounds upon our hearts when they leave us.

"Until you have loved an animal a part of your soul remains unawakened."

Prayers sent from me and my wife in Texas

Here we are holding our 4.5 month old German Shepherd(my fifth--her first)

I know how you feel Bro--

I had to put 2 German Shepherds down--one for Bloat -the other for Neck Cancer

Cried like a little girl each time too....

People who own dogs(especially Shepherds) will understand

Get another one when you are ready---
Trust me their are a lot of puppies looking for an owner as loving as you are...

Sincerely

Dr.Bill and Carol Martin

In my life I have had sixteen dogs- all have gone now. Now I have pack of 6 recued mutts, a conglomerstion of canines the most unlikely-all rescues. My sympathies but also my praise- you enjoyed a relationship with your dog that many people do not appreciate. I want to encourage you, when you can, to peruse the local shelters for a sibling to your remaining 4-footer. It will help both of you. Again, smoke and prayers your way.

So sorry for your loss. We had to put our German Shepherd/ Golden mix to sleep a while back due to a battle with Cancer. Its hard to lose them and even harder to make the decision to do so. I was the hardest thing I ever had to do and I'm not young. Hang in there and cherish your time with Bailey.

I'm sorry for your loss, T.:(. The big hole that you feel in your soul will heal with the passing of time.

T.,

I'm a big GSD fan. Currently have a beautiful 5 year old black sable. It's hard to imagine my life without her.

It sounds like you gave Shauna a great life.

She reciprocated by giving you years of joy and love.

Putting her down was the last act of kindness you could give her.

Best wishes.

So sorry about your dog. I know the loss and empathize with you and your family.

Our 14 year old Queensland Healer is old and sick with prostate problems and the vet thinks
he will not make the long journey from Finland to home in Alaska as we are flying to the East Coast
and driving to Alaska from there...

Here he is... and just the thought of it......breaks me heart.
