I want to give GEC's customer service a good review, particularly Chris Tucker, who coordinates and expedites the fixes. A little over a month ago I purchased a GEC Tidioute #26 Sleeveboard #21 of 50 with 2nd cut stag scales, I had gotten a really good deal a vendor was clearing out older stock, I guess to make room for newer items. Upon receiving it I noticed the small coping blade had some up & down play/wiggle about 1/16 strong-1/8", the other issue, not really a issue and something I normally would take care of myself is the wharncliffe blade sat proud, tip sticks out just enough to cut yourself if not careful. So I shot Chris a email she got right back to me saying to send it in with the instructions etc. Fast forward a month shot her another email to see when I could expect it, she informed me it was finished and being sent out that day. After seven days it had not arrived, so I shot Chris a email and asked her if there was a tracking #, she got right back to me, and it appeared the knife was in limbo in Erie Pa. I went to my PO and Chris emailed me and she contacted her PO and informed me that she was helping, I appreciated her help and customer service as this was not her or GEC's fault but unforeseen postal problem. Anyway the knife arrived all the little issues addressed and fixed and I'm more than happy with their service. It's the first time I've sent back a traditional for any work, and other than the postal snafu, it was a pleasant experience.
Here is the little tank, I will be using this little guy as a general utility knife, it's small but very stout.
Thanks for looking
Pete
