Good edc knives at 2.5 in.

-Spyderco Native. Forward finger choil for a nice choke up and the cutting edge is 2.438". (the 5 is FFG but the cheaper ones have a cool blade design)
-On a budget? Kershaw Cryo 1555 is a nice comfortable Hinderer design with a 2.75" blade and you can find them under $30. (4 way postionable / deep-carry clip, Decent blade coating, Kershaw gives good service/warranty for even their cheaper knives. Or you can just buy it at wal-mart and exchange it anytime)

I'm new here, and I'm sure by my post count you can see that I'm no expert, but I love my Techno and my Dragonfly. Both are close to the 2.5 mark, and neither breaks the bank.

+1 on this if you don't mind going a little over 2.5" - get the G10 version. But be warned: it is the KAI version of a gateway drug - this one little knife has led to the purchase of 4 ZT's, all Hinderer designs. :-)

Other vote for the spyderco techno. This is a frequent occupant in my pocket.

@coiledwire That is a sweeet Techno, love that handle work, did you do it yourself?

If you keep an eye out in the exchange you can get one around 150, if that helps any. Agreed tho, it's pricy for the size. I would also recommend a traditional knife like a GEC #15. The dragonfly2 is another great small knife with an excellent price.

I like the techno , sadly it's $190 though

$190 isn't cheap, look around, I got mine for a bit less but the knife is worth it imo. The construction, materials, fit and finish are all top notch. Plus you never worry about breaking it or anything seeing as how robust the thing is. And if you end up buying a less expensive Spyderco you will likely end up buying more, we all do. Then you end up buying a Techno down the road and say "Why didn't I get this sooner!?!"

I think the techno looks cool as heck. I just don't understand the point of a small, thick knife. I feel like, if it's smaller, it should slice better.
