Please don't screw around in this thread. Good fellow Hogs need some viable excuses for buying INFI.

Let this be their salvation thread!

Honey, I really need a sharp knife for cutting the turkey.

.

"I promise, I won't say a word next time there's a shoe sale."

Same as above but, replace shoe with purse :D

"Its not a collection of useless knives, its an investment in our future. With the prices these guys are selling INFI for, we will be able to retire sooner!" :D

Oh, that one's Jeffrey...He's in the box taking a "time out" after biting me last week. Stoopid Jeffrey. :grumpy:

You know, Jeffrey wouldn't lash out as much if he had a Mistress to keep him company. :)

It didn't work out as I planned. :(

"Oh, so now you're naming them??!" ... "Yeah, but what about the Mistress..."

So when we get divorced, I'll have some highly liquid, high value, easily transportable stuff you can steal....

These pieces of INFI that lay before your eyes will be treasures that will be passed down through our family for generations to come, not a piece of jewelry for the women, but a man's heirloom to say, this was my grandfathers and his grandfathers and so on. It's all about the family.

Buying knives makes me happy.

And when I'm happy it is easier to go to that $235,000 a year job that keeps you in spa memberships, ski cabins and second homes in the wine country. So dear the choice is yours I buy the knives or you go get a job.

(and I don't even have a wife)

Yeah, that's pretty obvious. If there were someone there to absorb your words of wisdom....

If you want to know what comes next, get married and find out.

For one thing, a lousy $235K wouldn't buy ski cabins and second homes if you had a "partner"to sck up the extra bucks. But apart from that, the first time you said anything like that to her, you'd be made so to regret it the first time you said something like that that you'd never say anything like it again.

"Sweety, if we ever fall on hard times I can sell it for at least what I paid for it. Consider it money in the bank, plus interest."

Works every time, and it's true.

Facts be told, I've never sold a Busse for less than I paid for it.

I find it hard to breath when someone can say lousy in reference to a $235k job. Boy do I feel like a loser. Is there anyone here that buys Busse and makes about 1/4 of that?

Anyhow, a wife would rapidly see any INFI assets liquidated and turned into more fundamental materials that we as knife junkies find just as irritating. Unless it's my wife (of course I only have 2 Busses and a couple SRs).
My response or rationalizing usually consists of "Cuz I work my a$$ off everyday and I'm going to get it before I'm too crippled to enjoy it." This covers a lot of territory.;) :D
