Good folding edc around 25$

Kabar dozier folding hunter. Under your price point and most seem to like them. Never owned one myself though.

Kershaw and crkt imports. Some choices at your price point, and I've had good luck with 8cr13mov steel. Easy to keep sharp and good enough for the task you require a knife for.

Are you against blemished? If not kershawguy has a made in usa, if that is your thing? skyline in your price range and a few other models that are close.

My advice is to expand your buying options beyond amazon. Some items they can compete, most not so much so. Lots o good shops online with better service, selection, and prices. Which sounds exactly what you need. Your call though.

I was typing that and didn't finish while you posted that info. Sorry I'm. Slow typer. The kabar folder I mentioned and kershaw imorts and crkt imports are available from amazon under your price point. Worth a look.

Buck Bantam BLW or BHW depending on your preferred length.

You'll have to break them in though, when new they're a bit stiff

+1 for Dozier.

Comes in different colors, too. I do own one. Very sharp out of the box, lightweight (no liners), slim profile, thin clip.

Kershaw makes a bunch of imports for under $25:
Volt II (assisted opening)
Chill (thin, gentlemanly flipper)
OSO Sweet (handle shape provides lots of purchase)

+1 for dozier

KABAR dozier can be had for $17 on amazon and is a really good knife. i have used mine for a while and it has good ergos for what it is, it is comfortable to use, comes super sharp from the factory and weighs nothing. the steel seems easy to sharpen and holds a decent edge for the price. it also has a good sturdy clip. I like my tenacious, but for the money the dozier is one of the best out there and you have a couple color and blade shape choices. I went with the black handle satin spear point blade.

Since you don't want a budget Spyderco or a Byrd, maybe try looking at a Ka-Bar Dozier Small, Buck Vantage Select, or a CRKT Drifter. Another vote for the Kershaw Chill as well.

Good luck, OP!

I know some people love to hate CRKT ( including myself ) however I can't deny that I am very impressed with the current Drifter model and feel that it is a pretty good deal considering the price ( they should be sub-20$ ).

Vantage, Skyline,Dozer. Any of them. l have a skyline and Vantage, my son has a vantage & my daughter has a
Dozer.

I'll also recommend one of the KaBar Doziers. I've had one and it was an outstanding folder for EDC. AUS8 doesn't get mentioned a lot because of all the steel choices out there, but it's a fine EDC folder steel in that price range. The locks are very reliable and the F&F was well done on mine and the other examples I've seen.
