im looking for a larger sized edc for around 40 bucks, i dont want something small and tiny (weight isnt really a huge concern to me i mean i carried a buck 110 for a good while)
but i dont want ti to be freakishly large, my state clearly states states that over a 4 inch blade is unlawful unless hunting or without valid reason.
Im looking at around 40 bucks i prefer kershaw knives but im open to any suggestions, i will most likely be purchasing from amazon due to having free 2 day shipping and 1 day shipping for 3.99 with prime

I agree with the Kershaw suggestion. Kershaw makes a lot of great knives in that price range, you are sure to find something.

I highly recommend the Kershaw Leek...it is a great knife. Has a 3" blade, is an elegant design, and with the lifetime warranty is hard to beat. I have one with the composite blade that I simply love.

If he's looking for a larger blade I don't think the Leek would fit his needs. Plus the only one you can get for under 40 is the stainless steel handled one I think.

Maybe the Kershaw One Ton?

yea the stainless handles and i have had problems with slippery stainless handles in the past, iv slipped and had it slice my finger wide open before. needs some texture

Good point on the handles being a bit slick...still I gotta say a Kershaw is going to be your best bet in an edc for the money. :)

Agreed on the stainless handles, I don't like them either. Spyderco Byrd Cara Cara could be another option.

im looking for something thats going to have a decent strength to it. i dont want it to be delicate and have to worry about using it too tough

I've turned in to the guy that only has two recommendations and for this application it is the Buck Vantage.

Enlan EL01 (or it's variant) 4" blade, solid grip, takes a while to ship. Google it ...

A more elegant one EL02, micarta handle (same blade steel, 3.5". EL02B is G10), or EL06(better blade steel).

That's a good knife but the handles might still be slicker than you want...perhaps the kershaw leek with G-10 handles would be a better choice?

the g10 handled 1 is alot more expensive and i want to stay at 40 or under, and i def dont want slick handles, idc what the knife is i just want it to last... i use it for work, cutting alot of tape off boxes

A kershaw skyline or blur? I have had great success with both of these blades.... The blur is a little more expensive but well worth it.
