Moving to St.Paul after school ends, we just got a house about 1-3 minutes-in perfect traffic conditions-from the big Cathedral. I've been living in the 'burbs for my whole life and 1 hour treks are kinda rare for a knife shop or surplus place. So any of you know a good shop? Good people, fair prices? Good selection?

St. Paul MN? From Tejas you're moving? You know it snows in St. Paul, right? For freakin' months on end??

I would hit the quarterly weapons' shows in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, and from there you will likely make some new friends that will help you with all that surplus cash.

bundle up,
rats...

Not my surplus cash, the Mom and Dad's. I've lived there for 8 years before, I love cold weather. What about these shows now?

There isn't really any knife stores here, just things like Sportsmans Warehouse, (which actually has a quite a few knives, from Kershaw to Kabar) and the aforementioned gun and knife shows, which are the MN weapons collectors, and crocodile productions. But it's a crap shoot finding anything really cool there. Blue Line Gear is here as well, but thats a internet company ran out of a house, so that doesn't really count.

I have been watching this thread waiting for some good suggestions. i have lived in St. Paul and the surrounding area my whole life and i am not aware of any good cutlry stores anymore.

We used to have Cutlery Corner stores in a few of the malls but they closed up many years ago.

There are a few martial arts and garbage type stores but I would shop online before any of those.

I usually frequent Sportsman's Warehouse, Cabela's (Owatonna and Rogers), Fleet Farm, Gander Mountain.

Good Luck and post here if you find something. I may have been here too long and given up.
