Good leather wallets?

I'll say it again: I LOVE my Saddleback bag. Matter of fact, to me, they are the Busse of leather world. Fantastic product made by a good guy with an awesome warranty. I have been looking into a custom wallet and journal cover, but may just hit Dave with an email proposing the idea that he make a journal cover to fit the large Moleskine journal, and send me one of his wallets as well. The customs are pricey, bit they're one-offs. I may just wait for a while as my toy money is low. The Network is killing me...
 
Saddleback is the way to go. I have a briefcase and love it so much I ordered a large satchel that should ship today. Very high quality stuff. I'm ashamed to say I use a rubberband for a wallet but might have to try one of theirs so I stop getting funny looks.

It was a present from a patient; I kept it in a drawer for years thinking it just wasn't me.

I was amazed at how tough the leather is and how it has held up for all these years. Louis Vuitton makes the best leather wallets in the world.

Customs? SBL will do custom work? Dear lord don't tell me that, when i asked if I could order a larger bag than their XL briefcase for my new laptop they told me no the 18" was the largest available.

Did she misunderstand me and not offer custom options? :) I miss my bag the only reason I got rid of it was being too damn small, LOL
 
saddler by bosca is usa made or was in 1999, been carrying a business card holder for 10 yrs from them...good stuff and usa made...

maxpedition makes a real good wallet and it helps the tree huggers and spotted owl lovers

It fills the pocket and spreads the contents, thinning the lump created by narrower bifolds.
Even if you don't have the contents to fill it, it distributes everything nicely. (Made in the USA as well)

I received a cheapo wide bifold several years ago and I'll never go narrow again;) Like the Busses, wider is better:D

Now if the cost is an issue, check out the Duluth Pack 9 pocket all leather model.

Think of all the crap you carry in your wallet...treat yourself to a nice wallet, it's with you every day.
 
I have an Adam Unlimited Stingray wallet and I love it. They are very tough and the pebbles are the grain of the Stingray skin.

Dont hate on me bro....LVs are not 1000's of dollars cuz they are made in INDIA...they are hand made and worth every penny.:D:D:D

Besides, in a metrosexual world, LV is king and the king always gets the girlies!!!:eek:

warning: dont bring your gf in the store with you cuz the hand bags are 5x what the wallets cost.
 
I would appreciate it if this holiday season everyone on this forum bought something from any division of LVMH. Almost all of their major brands (PUCCI, DKNY, etc..) are my clients and I'd like to receive larger PO's from them come 2010 :)

So help a porker out, spend some money so my clients can pay their bills and therefore empower me to buy more INFI :D

Well, I got the small wallet and credit card wallet in chestnut, really looking forward to them! Thanks again for the tips guys! I've been in need of a replacement to my "briefcase" (see overstuffed george costanza wallet) kenneth cole bifold I've had for a little over 5 years that is falling apart.

according to their site, they do not do custom work nor do they do customizing of existing products.

i have two products, the messenger bag and the xl briefcase. the briefcase is HUGE. i actually use it as an overnight bag rather than a briefcase.

the quality is superb, and their customer service is great.

for a wallet, i have a coach money clip wallet ive been using for about 5 years. still perfect, no stitching problems or the like.

It's funny you mention that. The most durable wallet I have ever had was a cheapy one from Wally World. I've been EDCing it for 8 years now and it's still got a lot of life left. I would have never guessed it would have lasted this long...let's just say I'm pleasantly surprised! :D
