Richard J here on the forums recently helped me out of a real bind.

I was running behind schedule, trying to get to the Blade Show, and didn't have any of my sharpening done. I'd been talking with Richard about doing some for me to see how he would do, but I just could not get the time to go see him.

The weekend before the Blade Show, when he already had another 50 knives to sharpen for another guy, I drove down and he sharpened over 200 of my slipjoints for me. It MUST be some kind of record!

As I went through the knives at the show (I had to pick them up on the way to Atlanta) I found few flaws. The little flaws I did find I could count on one hand and really were easy to fix. It was amazing the quality job he did in such a short period of time.

Then he went the extra mile and set me up with a portable sharpening wheel to take with me to the show for any odds and ends. That turned out to be a HUGE help since I had forgotten some knives, which my wife overnighted to me at my hotel.

Richard not only did a first class job with my slipjoints, and I am a hard man to please, but he went the extra distance to help me have a very succesful show.

I got some knives sharpened, and I think I made a new friend too.

thanks pappy. it was a pleasure to do business with you and i'll be glad to help you out again anytime in the future. your order of knives has to be the most i ever sharpened in a short time frame. dad really likes his birthday present too and he shows it off every chance he gets. thanks.

I third it. Adds a lot of value and expertise to this website. Don't forget the personal ratings you can give people, the ones within their profiles.

Yeah Pappy, I had to hear Richard complain about how his hands were hurting so bad from sharpening all of those blades;)

Richard has a high opinion of you, and thats all I need to know:thumbup:

Richard sharpened both of the knives pictured here. The top one is a Curtiss Assault 5.5 from David at Great Lakes Water Jet. The bottom is my Swamp Rat Hairy Carry Custom. The edge on the Hairy Carry was terrible. I wish I had a before and after picture so you could see the difference! I couldn't be happier
with the results! Thanks Richard.

Richardj convexed this Salt for me and it's a laser now.

Richard does awesome work, I will definitely be sending more blades his way.

I had him sharpen my HI JKM fixed blade -- I actually sent it twice, because the first time it had a flat grind, which he sharpened, but then he offered to regrind the entire knife to a convex edge for me -- for free!

He did an amazing job with it, and I would recommend him if you need any sharpening or reprofiling done.

Time to bump this up.

Just closed another knife sharpening transaction with RichardJ.

As usual the blades came back hair popping sharp, you just can't beat Richard's paper wheels. And his prices can't be beat, Richard raise your prices man, I'll still pay. ;)

RichardJ took time to contact me and offer advise on how to work with the paper wheels.....very personable guy and very helpful, I really appreciate that.

Richard is a man who enjoys helping out others, he has tallents. Helped me fix this computer, and at some point I will get one of those paper wheels.

Another superb transaction with Richard.
He removed the serrations on my Trekker and put a wicked v-bevel. It's razor sharp.
Thanks Richard

I have to bump this up for Richard man. He just turned my Battle Mistress into a 10'' straight razor, and threw in a few gifts for my Mrs. Good man indeed, and pictures of the Mistress to follow...

Here are the pictures of the blade fellas! She is sharp as a razor, and I will post more pics of her chopping! A little before and after comparison...
