Good non-threatening or hardly noticeable edc pocket knife?

The Case peanut is a great choice. So is the victorinox pioneer, specially for the added functionality. But the peanut is a very good edc knife, hardly noticeable in the pocket.

low budget, low glare.

The red Vic Hiker is about as "classic cool" as you can get. 25 dollars

I would also spend a little on a decent multi-tool. You'll find it useful for so much when you don't have access to a regular set of tools.
Leatherman wingman is about 30 dollars. Keep it is you backpack, laptop bag, etc.

Be sure of your state laws. Some states allow 3.5 inches or less for concel carry.

If you paint the knife pink no one will care what your carrying. So I would recommend Satu TiTi or a Crusader Forge Metro Tactical.

Another vote for a SAK and I'll echo what another member posted; the corkscrew will make you popular!

Most non threatening blade that is going to be quality, and be useful? For a college EDC I would strongly suggest an offering from Victorinox... and their Alox scaled blades are very nice like the cadet, soldier, farmer, or pioneer. I really love the Farmer FYI, it has my vote. Plus you are going to get a few useful tools along with a good blade at a low price. Next check out just about any offering case. You can get a really nice stockman pattern blade in an attractive handle material for a good price. These would be the first two places to start for a blade that most people are not going to question you on as long as you are not wielding it around like a maniac samurai sword.

another vote for victorinox, Tinker or Recruit

I'd carry a non-locking knife to avoid any potential sticky situation, since you are going to carry it on campus.

Love my Case Peanut....but just can't help but carry a Vic Classic. So darn useful. Tweezers, scissors, toothpick, nail file, screwdriver AND a knife?!? That's a lot of bang.

Vic Rambler trumps the classic with the inclusion of a cap lifter, especially for a college student.

Lately I've been carrying the rambler on my keys and a copperlock in my pocket. Traditionals are great when you don't want to raise any eyebrows.

Can't argue with that, I lot the little classic myself. Has too many uses to list, and the SD tip on the nail file opens cold brewski's as well.

Never even thought of trying that! Do you just put it on the lip and push up?

Nah, just use the SD tip to gently twist out the flanges until you're about a third to half of the way around, and pop off with thumb. But sometimes I just use a house key. One of the dubious benefits of spending a fortune to make sure my son got a college education was, the first time he comes home, he shows me all different ways to open a beer. Yup, higher education.

Haha! Yeah if I don't have an opener(is unlikely) I just use the side of a table or something. Since I respect other people's furniture more nowadays I never forget an opener or politely ask for one.

Victorinox Alox-handled knife, hands down. Pioneer/Soldier/Electrician/Farmer, or the slightly smaller Cadet.

Another vote for Victorinox. I'd go for either Climber or alox Soldier/Pioneer. Victorinox Makes great pocket knives in a variety of models that you'll probably end up accumulating. Best of luck.

I was thinking a Buck 119. :). Sorry couldn't help myself.
I carried a Kershaw Skyline everyday for over a year and she never let me down. It has a good thin profile in the pocket, tight clip and the flipper is addictive. It will take a wicked edge too
