Hi there, just found this site a few days ago, posted a question and got a lot of very helpful replies. Just like "komodo" I am in awe of this site and the knowledge dispalyed here. I've always been a gadget /knife nut and now it seems I have several thousand likeminded people to talk to !!
to my question, Since I live in Indonesia I need to get my stuff from somewhere else (sure you can get some really cheap knives here, but so is the quality) So can someone please post a list of reliable good suppliers of knives and other things like flashlights .Also if there are any good larger suppliers I would like to know of them.
thanks

I've had great success with NW Cutlery (www.nwcutlery.com)

They won't beat you up on shipping and they price match, which is good since their advertised price is about average or just below average.

Just bought a BM 710 for $99, $119 total with next day air shipping to Ohio.

Smae day shipping if it's in stock and ordered before 2:00 West Coast.

These are just some of the dealers I've bought from in the past and would do so again:

Knives & Things: http://personal.mem.bellsouth.net/mem/m/i/mikepayn/

Bayou Lafourche: http://www.knifeworks.com/

Skylands: http://bobcat.nji.com/skylands/index.html

PV Knife: http://pvknife.com/webcat/

AG Russell: http://www.agrussell.com/

One Stop Knife Shop: http://www.1sks.com/

Would recommend Knives & Things and Bayou Lafourche - these guys are true knife knuts and great to deal with. Most of my recent knives came from these two gentlemen.

Made my first internet buy ever 2 years ago at AG Russell's site which is one of the best I've seen - great pictures and lots of knife info, plus interesting gadjets as well as A.G.'s line of knives. I always pop by now and then.

And not forgetting One Stop Knife Shop which has loads of stuff. Only they don't take international credit card orders which is a real pain. I don't blame them though - cc fraud is just too common.

I certainly second the recommendation of Bayou Lafourche. Also, a forumite in good standing is just beginning a business and has impressed me. Shootist16 is his username. You can find him in the dealer forum and learn his e-mail/website info there.
