Can you recommend a good place online to buy knives? I have bought from Amazon and eBay in the past. I have also looked at knifeworks. Are there any other sites/online stores that have a good reputation?

I am mainly looking for good folders that are in production like Spyderco, Benchmade, Kershaw, etc. Sorry, I wasn't too specific in my first post.

you can try out bladeplay.com and bladehq.com which is basicly the same but i think bladeplay has lower prices on the knives. also Menseffects.com, but they dont have really good butterfly knives, but they do have other types of knives which are good

Thanks!

A number of good suggestions above. I'd also add Howe's Knife Shop and Cutlery Shoppe. I've gotten excellent service from those suppliers.

Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions. I know what I'll be doing today during my break.

+1 on GPknives and CutleryShoppe. Jeff at CS actually responds to emails personally, and is a great guy to buy from. Very transparent.

Sooner State Knives, Cutlery Shoppe, Cowboy Knives, Knife Center, I have good service with all of these.

+1 on Knife Center - I've had nothing but good experiences from them. They don't always have what I'm looking for, but their selection is pretty extensive, and the prices usually ain't bad. Service is first rate.

Honestly, I'd also have to say that it depends on what specific knife you want. Google is your friend. I just recently picked up a ZT 0200 from SKD Tactical. Do they carry much else in knives? No, they certainly don't. But they had that knife, at that time, at a decent price, and service was good and fast. I guess my point is, sometimes you know what you want first, then you go looking for who has it. Just a thought, but hopefully it's a helpful one . . . :)

For Benchmade, GP knives and Knifeworks are especially good. For Spyderco, Cutleryshoppe stands out. Also look at Knifecenter, Blade HQ (and their sister company Bladeplay), 1 Stop Knife Shop, and Smoky Mountain Knife Works.

Thank you guys for all the great places to shop. Since I am wanting a new Spyderco, I think I will check out Cutlery Shoppe.

I had a bad experience with Amazon shipping last week. I had purchased a Spyderco Endura 4 FFG with a green FRN handle. Shipping was free via USPS and it showed 5 to 8 days. I had it shipped to my work address, where the last dozen knives have been shipped to from Amazon. It didn't arrive last week and showed shipping by Saturday. Our office is closed on Saturdays, but that's okay because the mailman has always brought it on Monday when that was the case. This morning I got an email from Amazon that they were not able to deliver last week, that the package had already been sent back to them, and that they were issuing a refund, which will take up to 10 business days.

In the meantime I am having second thoughts about the size of the Endura 4 and am leaning towards the Delica.

Cutlery Shoppe does have the best price so far on a Spyderco Delica 4 FFG green FRN. $51.25. I think I will pull the trigger on that soon.

KNIFECENTER.COM! These are great people to deal with! Only had one issue with a Spydie I ordered and they replaced it promptly no questions asked! There prices always seem to be in the same ballpark as most of the other guys. And if you have a question a nice gal always answers the phone and helps you with anything you shoot at her!! Plazacutlery.com is great for your higher end products!! Knivesshipfree is pretty good too!

I've found them to have the lowest price on in stock Spyderco's. They got a small run of Para 2's last week and I ordered one friday for $91 and change. Very fast shipping as it got here Monday.
