I'm looking for a place where I can buy a benchmade 710 in Australia. It MUST be a local store so customs don't give me any trouble. At the moment, I have only found two stores:
- cuttingedgeknives.com.au
- legear.com.au

anyone delt with them? If you have any other places in Australia please make a suggestion.

Thanks in advance.

I bought a Benchmade from legear (not the 710). The price was good. The knife was not in stock which I only found out after placing the order , so it took a little longer to receive the item than I expected. The original postage price was a bit high but they dropped it down to something very reasonable after I questioned the cost by email. They seem to be willing to negotiate prices if you can find a cheaper option. Other than not carrying stock of some things they list on their website, I had no problem with them.

I've tried legear.com before and while I did receive my gear I would not recommend them.
Not that I was scammed or anything but for the fact that on the two occasions I placed my orders several items were 'out of stock'. A fact I was notified of after I had ordered, paid and waited a week. When nothing showed up I had to email them and then I was informed items were out of stock.
Same thing with second order. And the out of stock items weren't just under one category it ranged from gloves, camping gear to knives.

So basically he lists things as in stock and after you order off their site he places the order from the suppliers.

Australian customs isn't as terrible as it sounds. Find a recommended reputable US seller and it should get in fine. I've ordered plenty of knives. The most recent of which was a fixed blade- RAT Izula.
